Syncing to Alta HR is ridiculously SLOW

When I had the old Flex, the app synced in 2 seconds. Now that I “upgraded” to the Alta HR, it’s ridiculous the amount of time it takes to sync. I will bring up the app, put down my iPhone 8 to go do another chore and MAYBE 2-3 minutes later it’s done. I have the most recent version on both the Fitbit App as well as my IOS. Is there a fix or or is this just shoddy programming by Fitbit?

Do you still have your old Flex connected to your account? If you do then disconnect as syncing multiple fitbits considerably lengthens the sync as it looks for both and tries to reconcile the data from each if more than one is found.
