Target Load messages despite turning this off

I’m not interested in a target cardio load so I’ve turned this off in the list of stats in the app. However I still get the message banners for it, telling me it’s getting ready to give me my first target, telling me how to prepare for my first target load, etc.  They reappear every single day. Could these please be hidden when the associated data is hidden in the dashboard?

I totally agree and had logged in or to order to make a similar comment.

I know how much exercise I do at the moment and the reasons for it. In any other context repeat messages like this (seven yesterday) would feel like harrassment. Fitbit: please desist.

Any way to turn off these notifications popping on my home screen even though I've unselected them on my feed ?

Best Answer

That is SO annoying. And the "help" feature is completely unhelpful. Becoming less satisfied with Fitbit.

Hi Andrea, I hope you have reported this as a bug. It makes sense to see the message if the Cardio Load metric is enabled, but I suspect the message isn't intended to be shown if the metric is turned off.

That said, I am able to dismiss the message (Android 15 device using version 4.32; I cannot paste the entire version string as the forum flags the build no as a phone number), although the "x" is quite small.

Came here to find the answer to exactly this question.  100% agree with your comments. I do not like the message at all and want it gone.

It's so annoying. I turned off the tile in the settings and made sure there were no notifications options for it turned on, but this tip section keeps popping up. I hope they give us an option to get rid of it.

It is absolutely annoying.

I jumped lots of hoops and finally found customer support number - eight seven seven six two three four nine nine seven to save you some time. (The bot wouldn't let me post the number numerically...) They were unable to fix the glitch and it took 30 minutes or so of time to find that out (not counting the time on hold). Perhaps if enough of us call to point out the issue?

Yes! I have fitness target to maintain only. This message tells me I am maintaining, but if I hit the specified target I can be on my way to IMPROVING fitness!! 🤬. INCREDIBLY irritating that I’m not allowed to be satisfied with how I’m doing at the moment!
Additional info: I have never had a premium account, so this has nothing to do with that.
Other complaints, even when I hit the target it sets for me to “improve “ fitness, and it suggest I rest and recover , the next day it tells me today I can “get back” to improving fitness if I hit the target… not even that I can CONTINUE to improve!!

I recently started getting messages on my iphone Fitbit display that appear right under the top 4 main circles of steps, mins, mi, and cals. It seems they started when cardio load was added a week or two ago? I have to hit the X to get rid of them and then another one sometimes appears. They are very inaccurate and must be based on limited info. They tend to focus on cardio load and load target but keep telling me to rest or focus on recovery. when I am not working out all that much. They are frustrating and demotivating and I could not figure out how to turn them off. I took cardio load off my display but made no difference. PLEASE tell me how to stop them. Thanks

I couldn't agree more! I also came on here to find a way to turn it off! Please vote here; https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Product-Feedback/If-you-re-going-to-add-a-new-Activity-make-it-so-we...

I've tried everything. Having "Readiness" off should have done the trick but when that didn't work I turned off everything possibly affiliated with it. I also checked the app updates, and rebooted my phone after changes. All the data and how I feel tells me plenty about how ready I am to hit any target.

I wish they'd put their time into explaining and then putting back the "Challenges" part of the app. There was no greater asset than having friends in a simple challenge for a day, week, month. Oh that's right, we went out and found another app to do that! (Stridekick) Getting tired of having to piecemeal various apps together to fix things that weren't broken. Sorry, I digress. Last note, I currently wear a Sense, not a Charge 6. So it's equally irritating everyone.

Come on Fitbit at least give us a choice. How  do we get rid of that annoying message?

Likely a software engineer who has never seen the interior of a gym thought
this would be a great feature to add. 😞

SAME. I’m frustrated with constantly trying to remove it and turn it off. X out? Doesn’t work

For my part i'm no longer seeing these messages pop up, there was a stage were it wasn't even acknowledging me pressing the cross :cross_mark: to close them which was irritating.

Wow, just as I've said that it has popped up again, sigh

I see there is an option to delete all cardio load data, it might be a short term fix before it builds a new target.
