Hi @slinkydog1513. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for sharing that the text notifications aren't showing up on your Charge 4, even though you're able to receive the rest of the notifications. Also for the steps tried prior to posting. Let me explain that with the introduction of iOS 13, the required settings to receive notifications changed. That being said, I'd recommend to verify the following:

  1. Make sure both the Charge 4 and the Fitbit app are updated.
  2. Go to your phone's settings and tap on Notifications.
  3. Scroll down and tap on Messages.
  4. Add a check mark for Notifications Center under Alerts.
  5. Set Show Previews to Always or When Unlocked.

Give it a try and keep me posted.

That worked! Thanks so much. I didn’t realize having it on the “Never” option for showing the messages would prevent them from showing up on the watch. I receive them on the watch now! Thanks again!

I tried this.  All notifications are on. Now what? I missed my 250/hr twice today because I rely on the alert while working. Text messages missed as well.

Finally figured it out. Hope this helps. On your Fitbit watch you will need to turn off “Do not Disturb” and “Sleep Mode”

On your Fitbit Watch:

1. Go to Settings

2. Scroll to Do Not Disturb & select off

3. then scroll to Sleep Mode & select off

Once this is done you will start getting the vibrations from calls and texts. This will not affect your alarm settings. The alarm will still alert you & vibrate.

Hi @RevCJY, welcome to the Community Forums. @Kat-Rose20, it's good to see you around and thanks for your great post. I'll help many members!

@RevCJY, thanks sharing that your Charge 4 is having a similar issue, as well for the steps tried. I understand how important these features are for you and I'll help you with this matter. It might be that the DND or Sleep Mode are turned on in your Charge 4, as those settings prevent you from receiving notifications and reminders to move. Please give a try to the steps suggested above by @Kat-Rose20. Monitor your Charge 4 in the next days and let me know how it goes.

Keep me posted.

Hi @Krisper421. Welcome. It's nice to see a new face in the forums.

Thanks for sharing that your Charge 4 isn't receiving your text notifications and for trying the suggestions posted in this thread. I understand how useful this feature is for you and let's work on this together. Before anything else, please make sure the Fitbit app is updated in your phone and turn off any other Bluetooth connections nearby. Then, give a try to the following:

  1. Remove the Charge 4 from the Bluetooth devices list.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  3. Restart your tracker.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  5. Tap your profile picture > Sense > Notifications. You'll be prompted to pair your tracker via Bluetooth, please accept.
  6. Try receiving a text message on your phone to test the notifications.

Let me know how it goes.

I have a charge 3. This did not help me to get text messages on my Watch. Any other suggestions. I also have to press the button each time to see the time. Turning my wrist no longer allows me to see the time

Hi @LucaTwins. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for trying the suggestions posted above and I'm sorry they didn't work on your Charge 3. I'll help you out with your questions. Before anything else, could you confirm if you've tried every suggestions and tips described in this thread, including the notifications settings on your phone and tracker? If that's correct, please provide me with the model and OS/software of your phone so I can investigate on my end.

In regards to your tracker not turning on when moving your wrist, have you checked if the Screen Wake function is turned on? You can do this by pressing and holding the side button. Then swipe left to access the quick settings screen to check the settings. Make sure the DND and Sleep Mode are turned off.

I look forward to your response.
