I'd recommend double checking your wife's phone's Bluetooth settings to make sure that her Blaze isn't Bluetooth bonded with your phone.
You only need to have your tracker set up to your account in order to sync your Fitbit tracker, but a Bluetooth bond between your mobile device and tracker is required to receive notifications.
