Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

Definitely hate it. I want to choose my focus. I don’t like the forced groupings. The fact that I can’t modify the top panel. Battery is hidden and inaccurate. Google has finally got me thinking after six devices that I should look hard at the Apple Watch.

I don’t know why you changed it. Is there any way to get the original back!?!?

Why did you change the design? Most of us had it set up the way we want to see it, now I had to turn off health metrics so I could see my heart rate in the view I’m used to seeing, horrible change!

I'm only getting the daily average rather than the actual weekly totals, how do I see the actual total steps per week like we used to be able to see?

Best Answer

Hi, @DanaST , Touch the steps Icon in your today screen then select the week tab -

Touch the individual bars for the daily totals.

I hope this helps.

Yes that does give me my daily totals for the week, but I like to compare each week against the last, and when I select the month tab I'm only getting the daily average, not the actual total number of steps per week which is what I want to see.  How do I fix this?

Also it used to show me in the top right corner how much battery was left when I synced, and that's missing too, can I get that back?

I hate the new app version. Can I go back to the previous app version?

Hi, @DanaST, Not at the moment, touch the icon in the top left of the "Today" screen>Inspire 3> Line 5 gives a battery SOC Low, medium, full. Not satisfactory I know.

Cheers

Agree 100%.  New app is not useful nor user friendly.  I have had a fitbit since their inception and now I am looking for other options. Hopefully Google will straighten this out.

The new dashboard is not what I want I want the old one back and when you look to see if you can change back it tell you to go to accounts then click advanced settings so where on the app is it

Best Answer

No it's not, that's too bad, but what about my other question about the weekly step totals?

Best Answer

I have to say the new App is really a step backwards. There is no color, I am forced to focus on metric I do not care about. Sleep use to give you everything in one compact place; not now.
Really a cheap looking interface now. Mistake!

This looks so much worse than the old style. The “modern” look looks horrible. It’s harder to read and create a worse experience. Please don’t update things if you’re only going to make them worse. I will probably use the app less because of how ugly it is.

I hate this new upgrade.  How do we get the old screen back? I will purchase a smart phone rather that deal with this this so called upgrade, which is a total downgrade!

What happened to the app today?  Everything is out of order, the colors are all gone, and it looks like a 5 year old drew it in pencil.  Anyone else having this problem?

Best Answer

I agree. It's boring, sad and bland. Not to mention my sleep and sp02 information has totally stopped working.

I don't mind the look, but it's the inconsistencies that bother me. Some of the pages are still using the old UI.

@Digifus perfectly said. Such a disappointment and absolutely a purposeful move by Fitbit to get us swapping over to google products. There’s absolutely no way this new updated app would have been launched in its current state & design, had it been widely trialled & tested by consumers. Not a chance the insight & feedback provided to implement into its redesign would have been in favour of the version we’ve been forced to switch to. It’s clear there was no consumer input at all, and looking at the overwhelming amount of negative responses to the update it seems things are going exactly the way they wanted it to. Really disappointing and just shows us how little value we hold to them aside from $$$. I’m definitely finding a new device asap.

With the new update estimated calories remaining for the day is gone! It was a main reason I used Fitbit and I’m very upset about this in the new update. How do I get this feature back on my app? Please help!!

I would like to echo others.  Please work the battery life indicator into the new app.  Very frustrating

The 4.0 updated and now the battery life is not showing and more importantly it is not showing how many days in a row I have met my goal of 10,000 steps. I was up to 750 something days and now it’s not showing anything. How do I correct this?
