Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

I am not happy about the step streak banner missing.   That is motivation for many people commenting in this forum.    I was chatting with a guy on the help desk who said they were working on it, but it wouldn’t be soon.   I recommended installing the old app while they ironed out the bugs.   He said that wasn’t happening and disconnected from the conversation.   That’s great customer service

This new fit bit operating App is terrible. Hard to navigate, doesn’t show battery strength, hard to sync and looks lousy. Whoever designed this new app must have stock in a competitor because that’s where everyone will be headed

wish I knew how to go back to previous version.

Total agree!  Looks dull and boring and had to figure out to make changes 😔

Changes to the app are horrible and nor user friendly.

If you tap the edit icon on the main screen, you can use the arrows above each group to move it up or down.

I have also found out now that the individual stats for each workout or walk during the day is no longer recorded and saved. I have no idea exactly when I started and stopped exercising or how much that particular session did for me. I was using this to have actual “ biofeedback “ to reference when I was looking at my past workouts and what was working for me. This is simply too much of a let down. Almost all of the reasons I liked the Fitbit are now being removed. I can’t even pull up the last week of data because it was wiped away with the upgrade. 🥲

I had the ore year free of premium. I’m glad it was free since it definitely was NOT worth the yearly charge.
I also get a Fitbit for free every two years thru Medicare . Although, with the current ridiculous changes with Fitbit, I honestly do not know if I want to continue with Fitbit even though it’ll be free.

Calories estimate for the day is gone.

only current calories showing now - and that now seems to sometimes take longer to show, to the point I’ve logged some items twice over the last few days, because they wasnt showing

Where is battery usage in the new app?  Its one of the most useful pieces of information, especially if you are an avid user!  Ridiculous that it has been removed!

Time for Medicare to make better chocies than a comoany like Fitbit that is falling apart.

The new app looks like it’s from the 90s. I hate that there’s  battery level included. It reorganized my categories. I hate it and I hate that there was no notice.  I think this is enough for me to finally leave Fitbit; you continually move backwards as a tech company.

I had a 853 day streak going, now I can’t even get to that data.  This is awful!!!!

Really disappointed in this update. The food logging no longer shows me how many calories I can expect to have for the rest of the day. So now I have to do the math to get a rough number. But I’m assuming that doesn’t take into account the calories I’m expected to burn for the rest of the day. The ability to track calories in against calories burned is my primary reason for having a fit bit over an Apple Watch. Again, really disappointing.

Omg! I miss my streak too but it wasn’t anywhere near as long 😥 I’m so sorry you lost all of that!

I also miss the percentage.  I use the charger to tell how much juice is left, as it flashes on when you connect them to power.  I don't like to let it get below 70% as it takes too long to charge. I don't charge it overnight since it means you can't track your sleep.

Fitbit really has no concern for the user experience.  How could they miss the importance of step streaks for us?  This is as bad as killing off the group challenges.

Agreed it’s terrible

The new app upgrade is not user friendly to me. Where’s the charge life indicator? I just chatted with customer service and there’s no goi g back to the previous version.

I rely on the larger reading on the app instead of reading the tiny details on my device. This upgrade is awful! There should be a way to go back to the app that looked good snd worked.
