Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

I actually use My Fitness Pal to track my food.

Try using MyFitnessPal to track your food. My daily caloric count transfer to Fitbit.

Happy stepping?!? No happy anything with this ridiculous updated app!!!! 😡

Nope! No choice. All of us were forced to have this ridiculous update.

I sure hope Medicare decides to leave Fitbit/Google and will go with another fitness tracker

They are the one creating this !

Same here. Primary reason for having Fitbit over Apple Watch is to track calories. This update sucks.

Best Answer

Totally agree! Main reason I used this app and now it’s gone. Hopefully they add it back in another update.

I totally agree! I have used Fitbit since 2014. Ever since the Google merger the app has been “misbehaving” I held out hope that once the new app launched things would rectify however this is clearly not the case.
This app is unresponsive to edits and no link to troubleshooting the basics was provided to users.
I have resisted changing to an Apple Watch because I loved the app. No longer! I’m out-hello Apple!

Why stuff a great simple to use interface up with a complex overlay that is confusing and impractical?

PLEASE go back to the old version.  Not a fan at all.  I can’t customize for what I want to see.  It forces me to choose a ‘group’ and I don’t want what’s in the group.  I need pieces of each one.

Couldn't agree more. The new dashboard is awful, being kind. I have to scroll up and down to see basic information. Cannot see the battery status of my Inspire. Bad design, bad rollout.

Where is my step streak in this update???  So upset - was at a 400 day step streak and can't see it now!

Best Answer

So many questions on how to see step streak and more and 0 answers. I hit 1000 days yesterday and lost all my motivation with this completely useless and unnecessary change.

Are weekly step counts found anywhere? I try to beat my previous week count!
I agree with others, taking away the battery % was not a great idea!

Absolutely! I noticed it going downhill after google took over too. Had problems with my charge 5 dying on me - they sent me two replacements, it still happened, which is why I got the Versa. Thought problems would die down,  but it was still glitchy. This update is the last straw for me too! I’m an Apple user anyway so I think I’ll be ok.

The new app cram down is poor business.  Fitbit limited the dashboard to 1 main goal and 3 minor goals down from 4?    The testers did a poor job on this.  Kinda like Bud Light

@mrssupr I don’t blame you at all! That’s lucky you got the year of premium free too. This is all just google pushing us away from Fitbit so we buy their products instead, since they merged. There’s no way I’m sticking with Fitbit or swapping to a google fitness tracker after this though. No loyalty or care for their customers and it feels like Fitbit just sold us off and doesn’t care. Super disappointing.

@amq1216  I think it’s the launch of their new feature “Guess Your Battery Percentage”…it’s one of those thrill seeker type features, designed to really get that heart rate up!! 🤦🏻‍:female_sign:

Fitbit doesn't have to get our permission to change things. See Section 18 of the Terms of Service.

Absolutely sucks.

No notice?? No option to not update?? WTF?  Sh1tbit is back. Time to move on

I just noticed the new update for my Versa 4 and I don’t like it at all. Much preferred the older version.

I will have 1,000 day streak tomorrow. Nothing from Fitbit to prove it. I can download three years of data, but I shouldn’t have to do that
