Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!

Absolutely NOTHING! The new app rollout has left me with a device that doesn't sync at all. My Flex 2 is now totally useless to me. I'm thoroughly disgusted.

It is absolutely hideous. The colors are just awful and drab and the monochrome green (relieved only by the muddiest purple and peach) is just so depressing and it's hard to read because every stat same color.. I hate it so much I canceled premium and may have to get a different device. The thought of looking at that awful IKEA-assembly-instructions-grade shoe artwork every day just too dispiriting. What a colossal **ahem** up.

That they think these are improvements are ludicrous and only half accurate. You need to manually swipe through the Month tab and add each months step streak together. The Year tab just give you an average daily and total. UGH - this was the one little thing that kept me motivated. I literally took a screen shot daily when I made my steps. I now hate Fibit.

I was so disgusted by the look of it, I didn't even notice that. What the heck??? This thing runs down battery like water through sand so you need to know your battery level.

🤔🙂
so we have a new fitbit app. I expect many have worked on it. There are changes and I do like some of them.
i am just watching the new updates to MacOS Sonoma, IOS17, and iPhone 15, Watch 9. Similar to here many like things and do not like others. It is part of change. Before seeing the Fitbit app update, I was thinking of an Apple Watch but decided to stay with my Fitnit as it does what I need. Still with Fitbit now.
There are definitely things that many of us would like fixed, replace & improved. I for one am not 'running away' from Fitbit. I like my Fitbit as I think many do. There has been a scatter gram of feedback and there looks to be some themes to the feedback.
Hopefully in a few weeks, the Fitbit team will be able to sift through and provide us with some further improvements.
As we all know change is change . Let's hopefully see most if not all of our loved features hopefully back soon.
🤔I see some on iPhones were upgraded to the new Fitbit app automatically.
This is probably because they themselves have autoupdate turned on for their iPhone. 🙂
:memo:
my list here includes:
1. battery status on main screen 👍
2. font size smaller so I can see more
3. some colour differences like before make it easier to see sections
4. bring back all of the achievements
5. and so on.
i will check back in about a month. For now, I can get by and do appreciate people at Fitbit worked on what we see now.
Hopefully more fixes to come soon.
💎🤔😀👍 most of us are here! and enjoying our Fitbits!! 👍
Relax, it is another day to enjoy our lives!🏃🏽

Hi Claire, I was also extremely frustrated that they had taken the estimated calories left for the day from the home screen. I have been using this function for months now to help my calorie deficit. I find the calories in and out very unhelpful as it doesn't really help me in planning out my meals based on the calories i had left. I have found a way to see this feature, although it is quite annoying you will have to log onto the fitbit website on a browser. You can view your dashboard from here and the 'Calories left' feature is still there and shows you the calories left for the day. So I will be doing this until they fix it on the app, even though it is really not ideal. Hope this helps!

Seems apparent that nobody is really "reading" these comments. If the aim was to destroy all customer goodwill in one quick swoop, Fibit succeeded!

How can I change the horrible looking display on my fit bit app

I used to live on this app! I looked forward to checking it every morning! Because of the bull**ahem** update yesterday, I haven't looked once today. Spent my time researching Garmin instead. FitBit has lost me a customer. Nice job... I'm done.

Awful! Go back. This is not well thought out. Where’s the battery life. Easier on the app for people who need reading glasses. The old dashboard was simple and user friendly. Give us a choice to go back. New app is horrible

We need the battery percentage back asap. I don't want to have to charge it daily just in case. This is an awful change. Makes me want to move to a Garmin or other device.

I’m trying not to blame the devs as a software engineer myself but removing the step streak is just insanely disappointing and demoralizing. I actually like the new aesthetic but I (and countless others) used that banner for motivation. Why not just move it to another spot on the app? They did so with other data, so why remove the one thing I looked forward to in the app everyday? This is really disappointing and I’m researching other brands now too I guess.

Yup. Me too. Maybe we start a Reddit thread to enable us to work together to find our next best trackers.
