Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

Thank you for the information , but with aging sight, I am 69 next month I
take all my data from the app on my phone. I wear the Fitbit for improving
my fitness. It is a feature I will sadly miss.

The new dashboard is definitely not an improvement. I would like the old one back. Where are the weekly total steps?

The new app is awful. You can no longer move individual goals up and down the list, they are in groups that you can’t change. Also, why remove the battery charge level?? Another bad idea. As to a fresh new look, the design just looks basic.
Is there any way I can choose to use the old version?

I'am inclined to say that the product a bought (sense, app + premium subscription), has been modified and degraded after I bought it !!!

This looks like a contract breach !

I want my money back !!!!

Hi, I cannot see the female health tracker on the updated app - is it still available?

Disastrous upgrade. Where is the battery level indicator?
Graphics and fonts too large resulting in fewer icons and information visible on each screen. Too much blank white and grey space. We need something more compact to study the results.
No edit function to tailor the home screen to one’s own preference. Can’t move individual icons around.
Graphs for floors, calories unusable compared with the old one. How long will the nice heart graphs remain.
I could go on….
I’m desperately trying to think of a single good point with the new app… sadly none.
Bring back the old app! Offer us a switch to revert to the old app. I'm sure the vast majority of users will prefer the old app.

Fed up with the short lifespan of fitbit devices. Now with such a poor app I will be forced to look for an alternative.

Yes, release a Fitbit Classic app.

So many things no longer showing on the app after this update. Very unimpressed. I think it’s time to leave Fitbit for another brand. After a stack of watches that died from water and others issues… I think I’ve had enough. I have spent thousands on these watches. The only thing that kept me here was some I’d the data and ease of retrieving it. That’s done with this update… so I am I. Time to start shopping. You can no longer see Wesley readiness scores, only daily. That’s just one little piece of what’s no longer there. By bye.

Agreed, I’m starting my shopping. Not impressed.

Fitbit would be better off giving its premium customers a significant discount, because there is a good chance that the number of users, and therefore the revenue model, will drop.

The app update is terrible. Less information, no step streak, no battery percentage visible. It’s hard to see and use the dashboard as a result. Looks like a 5 year old drew it.  Been loyal to fitbit for over 8 years, but will be changing to Apple Watch unless you quickly update functionality and design. You must see what’s being said on social media. What a disaster. It’s clear the Product/App team is completely disconnected from the end user. Rectify this quickly please. Use this firestorm as an opportunity to quickly say, “We hear you. We missed the mark. We know we only exist because of our customers.” And then fix it fast.

This update is so horrible and frustrating I no longer want to use my Fitbit. The app sucks and it takes forever to find anything. Literally everything is much more difficult to find and I still can’t find certain things and I don’t enjoy wasting my time having to click through dozens of screens just to try to find the things that were once easily accessible.  This is the beginning of the end of fitbit. Whose bright idea was it to show less data but make it more difficult to find?

Best Answer

Agree! No longer can I see the weekly step count total. I have an Apple Watch I didn’t  want to use because I was happy with my Fitbit. Not anymore

Best Answer

The update is awful, please switch back to the old app. I agree with all the other comments, the new design is incredibly unmotivating, we’ve lost features, it’s harder to see the sections you’re actually interested in and it’s just downright ugly.
I haven’t seen a single positive comment, please take the feedback, realise the mistake and go back to the old app.

Missing battery level function is going to be hard for a lot of users and I find the new style of the app really flat and hard to navigate. Is there any way to return to the old app format?

Best Answer

It looks like the streak feature was removed (or at least the current streak reset) That was my favorite thing, so will it be back?

Best Answer

I agree I really miss the battery level, always used that feature.

Best Answer

This is what I’m looking for.  I relied on seeing the battery % to keep it charged on MY schedule.  Is there any option that can be set to have the battery % displayed?

Best Answer

Sorry, but it literally sucks… I want the previous version back please…
