Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

Dear Fitbit

I urge you to listen to your community and sort out how we can restore the original interface. Working in tech I know this is not a big deal. What is a big deal is losing more market share.  Community is everything.

Thank you

The new app is a big step BACK!

Less information, unnecessary animations slowing down paging through history and most importantly: no notification of consecutive (step) goal reached - one if not the - most significant motivation factor!

Instead of reducing information you should have fixed the bugs the former app had, i.e. synch issues causing the loss of the history of consecutive goals/streak.

This is so bad I’m considering to leave the platform - after 8 years.
Btw: I saw notes that Fitbit wants to bring the streak info back and in fact I saw once a notification in the new app but that had (obviously) forgotten my real streak and I was “awarded” 5 days :-((

Sad.

I used the battery info daily. Please bring it back

I HATE the new version of the app. How do I change it back???
it doesn’t show the battery percentage, it crashes when I synch my watch to my phone. It takes forever to scroll through useless info. It’s ugly and off putting. So much white space for no reason. It no longer has features that I used, it no longer tracks my streaks, it looks like clip art put together on a PowerPoint by a high schooler. It’s horrible and no longer has any functionality. I am a premium member and will cancel my subscription if this is what I am stuck using. How do I get the old version back? It worked well before - why change it to something so awful?

As many other people have already expressed, this new update is trash. Everything on the home screen is huge, blocky (did you think we needed help distinguishing different stats?), bland, and colorless. There is no way to return to the home screen without pressing the back button/arrow a bunch of times, whereas there was previously a Fitbit logo icon in the bottom left that allowed this. Logging activity is also extremely inconvenient, since now we’re forced to use the one add button (gigantic plus sign) and make at least two additional selections before reaching the desired screen. Previously, we were able to log/add things directly from each section on the home screen.

Yes, please listen to customer feedback and  give people a way to revert to the old interface (which was great!) In the new version, I cannot, for example, figure out how to easily see the number of steps I got on Saturday, when it is Sunday. And before, I was easily able to see at a glance what it now takes me many clicks and scrolls to find.

Hate the new update. Even trying to set up what I want to see sucks.

cant log my walk, didn’t track, water track had to input through fitbit not app on my phone. This sucks. Fix it or lose me.

Why oh why did they break a well oiled system purely for aesthetic goals? BAD decision!! Bring back the old version Please!!!!!

I recently updated the mobile app when connecting my Charge 4, but now the interface has changed and my data has been completely reorganized. Is it possible to delete the new update?

Also, I can no longer see my Community tab on the mobile app in the same spot; it is still there but everything has been rearranged... 😞

Click on the upper left-hand corner devices and applications, then scroll down and click on your tracker. The next screen will take your tracker, and in that area will be the battery level. You will be disappointed not to see the percentage as we were used to seeing. Instead you will see a battery level of high, medium, low, or something along that line. It is not very helpful because it does not represent how long it has been since the last time the tracker was recharged, or how long before the next recharge must be done to prevent the Trackers battery from being fully discharged. Hopefully the software developers are listening to the many complaints brought about in these forums and something will be done with the next update.

i read through all of this and so many people describing the same way you have and i 100% agree! its dull, boring and looks not finished. i also loved the fireworks when a goal was reached and miss that now! i really hope they see how everyone is so disappointed... well more than disappointed. i have seen so many say how much they hate it... and hope they change it back!

I have been using Fitbit since 2014. This is the worst - what on earth is going on! Loss of customisation and functionality. Clearly the user is no longer the focus!

This unappreciated, unannounced, unusable app interface should get someone fired.

Removing functionality is never good especially the battery percentage.

I got my first one in 2010! (My One still works while my Sense is charging)

This degraded app makes me think the iWatch is in my future!

A quick beta test of your longest users would have given you feedback on the information people actually use and want!

I 100% agree!

How do we switch to the previous dashboard? This one looks like a 1980’s Atari pong game. This is so embarrassing, clearly your human factors group failed big time. It’s bare, Washed out and plain ugly.

This is so bad it’s time to end premium and go I watch, bye bye Fitbit
