Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!
I guess we'll see if Fitbit gives a . . . about its customers. How many would opt back to the old app if given the option? I would. I hate the new large and in my face screen. I hate that when. I click on calories weekly I see averages rather than the weekly sum total. I hate that I only see the last exercise completed rather than scrolling through all I had for the day. Fitbit Google, do you care? We'll see. If not we'll take our steps elsewhere.
I'll add my feedback. I really don't like the new look and feel. It does not look as clean and fresh as it used to, it doesn't let me have just the info I want, it takes more clicks to add data like weight and the battery percentage meter has gone from the synch bar. I'm sure the developers have worked very hard on this update but it is clearly not what everyone wants. Hopefully new updates will roll out that improve the look, improve the configuration, add back in ease of adding data and re-adds the battery percentage.
Thanks.
I just came here to jump on the hating the new version of the app bandwagon. It is absolutely awful.
Is this just me who is experiencing this? The new App looks horrible. Cannot see what I want and the way I want. The older version was simple yet so grand looking. 1* for the new App.
I had to log into Live Chat yesterday just to find out how much charge was left on my Fitbit. The new laout on tells you if if battery is full, medium or low. So I find out there was 21% left which is good enough to get my steps in. So if the Chat can tell me why did they take it away from our app? So I made a friendly suggestion on our behalf…
@pearlyvictoria Believe me, Fitbit is getting all kinds of negative feedback about this change. Here, Reddit, X (formerly known as Twitter), you name it.

I totally agree. No way to reorder that I can find, I want steps first, I want battery level. Old version much more user friendly. This looks like a new app developer's first attempt at creating an app.
What is the ETA to have an old interface back? The new one is so balh. Is this for a 2-year-old kid learning shapes?
It is a simple dashboard that should be easy to use. Now, you have instructions to find the battery status and how to customize the FOCUS area.
WOW - there is no dislike button on your pin topics! 🙂
The new app is terrible with huge font and icons, not being able to see all in one screen dashboard, time waste having to scroll and who needs those dingly animations in calories steps and distance count?? Plz revert to old neat look&feel.
This new app is terrible! What was your intent? I want the information you previously provided. This is so much less. I am just a few days out of lung removal surgery due to cancer. I need the info the way it was, ie useful. I totally can’t understand w-t-f you are doing. Happy stepping my butt! 😤
well said. i am already checking out garmin, despite like the inspire. its small, you can get stretchy bands and i don't need a smart watch. all google has done is take away. no more challenges, streaks, groups, etc., info being put behind paywalls and now this. all we have gotten back is a gross app. there is no reasons really to stay. need to do some more garmin research.
Totally stinks
