Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!
My good gracious this app update is horrible. Why was this necessary? We used to use data at a glance and inputs were relatively easy. This update does not help anyone!
I have lived Fitbit for many years, please revert or i guess i will save up for apple watch....
Really disappointed with the new design and so are all my friends, it is very boring therefore very uninspiring to use, the old one was much better and fun to use. It’s like you’ve tried to strip back and modernise but it just doesn’t work, it’s dull and feels like a chore to use.
It seems counterproductive for Google to send out a questionnaire, thereby wasting more time for fitbit users, instead of simply admitting their mistake and reinstating the previous app version.
I also kind of wonder whether the Fitbit originators regret selling to Google (aside from the money, of course).
Google doesn't really support many of their products. Getting help with Nest is almost impossible. My simple solution to get heard was to simply cancel my Fitbit Premium subscription. Money -- unfortunately -- speaks louder than customer feedback. I'm wondering if we all started canceling premium if they might not listen and make some adjustments. Thoughts?
I hate the new format platform interface. It is absolutely unprofessional looking. And you have to figure out everything else all over again, you did away with challenges. You took away all sorts of things that were a whole lot better than what you've done. Very dissatisfied customer.

What other brands are you looking for and at? Because I'm through with fitbit.
I agree 100%!
I’ve been in love with 5 generations of Fitbit, using them 24hrs/day since 2016. But in 4 days you (Google) made me just HATE it and totally discouraged me to keep on trying to be considered as a person by your Support Service. I never thought it would be possible to be soooo rude to soooo many long-term and really satisfied clients.
I’m done with you and just received a brand new Ice Watch.
Time to go on.
Even if you go back to the previous version of the app, I no longer want to share all the data of my private life to people who don’t respect me.
Bye bye
Lizzy… it would be useful to let the community know of FBs plans. If the 10+ items that have been raised the past week will be addressed, why not let us know. It’s not just a matter of getting used to the new app. There are a number of features removed (consecutive day streak).
I'm going to look into the ice watch! Thanks for the info and let me know what you think of the new programming.
Since the google purchase there has been no new additions to the FitBit product, only deleting things that people actually use. We can’t challenge friends to stay motivated. Now we can’t see our streak banner to stay motivated. Users have been complaining about the useless 1 min nutrition videos for TWO years. And, the new app is not nearly as customizable. Dear Google, are you purposefully trying to push long time FitBit users away?? (Current user since 2012 ready to switch to Apple Watch)
I HATE it also! especially the sleep tracking! I was getting around a 80 to 85 average and now this app is showing Fair between 50'and 60's. Are you kidding me! Nothing has changed other than this app. I wish we had to option of NOT updating to the new app. I may entertain an Apple watch now. I refuse to pay a fee for their premium service when the newer 2nd gen Apple Watch is better and you dont have to pay additional monies.
I totally agree! the app was sooooo much better before this!
