Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Please bring back the old app.
After reading all the comments, it's obvious not many of us are happy with the new app.
.... and please reinstate the Fitbit battery monitor.

All this boondoggling with the (now basically worthless) app, and I still can’t enter bowling as an activity.

The new app design is minimalistic, boring, and DEPRESSING. It used to make me happy to sync my fitbit, now all I feel is blankness and disappointment. There is no color, no fireworks, and nothing that gives me any dopamine for syncing my fitbit.

Completely agree, i have had fitbit devices for almost 10 years and this is not an improvement. Very difficult to check anything. Not even looking nice anymore. Who thought it was a good idea tbh

The new UI is awful. The summary screen now requires scrolling 5 screens to see what is there! This on an iPhone 13 Pro Max that has a huge screen! It is like the app's been redesigned for the visually impaired. Everything is huge with lots of white space. But if they wanted to help the visually impaired—or anyone—then why on earth also wash out the color and other design elements that can help the eye distinguish one type of data from another? This is such an ugly interface. It wastes time. It is harder to read and use. Also the app appears to have removed any ability to customize the interface. What a downgrade! I've used fitbit for years and now I find myself thinking that I should be checking to see what other options are out there.

Read the comments. People are not happy with this update. You took away the 1 thing I use with this fitbit. I guess I'm done too.

Please do not assign credit to the software developers for trying to make the application friendlier for blind and reading disabled users. As a blind user, using Apple‘s voice over screen, reading software to get my information, I have made multiple request of Fitbit, customer support, and Google Disability representatives to improve the experience for the blind and reading disabled. None of the issues appear to have been resolved in this version of the iOS application. A simple example that anyone can understand is the current user manuals. Information in the user manuals in many cases is provided as an image file that is visible to cited users. the experience of the blind user is an America string. Oh great The experience of the blind user is an America string. Oh great length followed by.IMG. This might not be an issue if it only concerned one or two image files, but when the whole manual, yes, predominantly, long, alpha, numeric strings, followed by.IMG, it becomes very cumbersome to convert the images to a format that can be read by various screen reading software programs.
I have dictated this on my iPhone, and hope you will be able to understand my ramblings. I was optimistic that the current version of the iOS app would address many of the issues that I have brought up to the customer support team at Fitbit and Google Disability Support persons.E

I really don’t like it, is there a way I can get the old design back? My biggest issue is the change on the calories and steps page. I loved being able to see all my calories and steps from every day with the weekly total added up right on top. That was the most helpful and my favorite part of the app.

Yeah this new interface is garbage.
It lacks user-friendliness and simplicity, which is essential for people with an active lifestyle that don't want to be fiddling with an app forever before they start an activity.

Funny how the blog only allows for "Thumbs Up" votes. And, there are only a couple of Thumbs up for only a couple of features. It seems the audience is as disappointed in the new app as I am.

My wife and I hate the latest update. Wish we could go back to previous version. We were considering buying new fitbits but will not unless the app reverts to previous version. Many features no longer work on ios with my fitbit Sense and her fitbit Luxe.

Me either. Plus my versa 3 is not reading the right time. And battery is draining fast.

Is Google trying to kill FitBit? This app is the worst. First of all it is so absurdly slow. Then, why does it have to start at zero every time I open it and then take thirty seconds to update stats?
Second, where’s the battery charge?
Also, why can’t I see my hourly progress?
hate hate hate
can anyone advise what device and app to switch to?

I can only think that google is trying to lose people. I know that sounds crazy but there is no way user testing showed this UI as preferable to the old UI. Sure it's big funny, easy to read. But this app is supposed to motivate. Grey green and lots of scrolling doesn't motivate me at all. It is so uninspiring and boring. I used to screenshot my dashboard with my workout, time, calories burned, state of cardio with a beautiful colorful bar graph, and add it to strava. I no longer get that information. It was fun and attractive and colorful to look at. I've stopped screenshotting it and actually spend no time looking at fitbit anymore. It's a shame really. My husband has garmin and I think it's time to buy a garmin and enjoy looking at my stats again.
