Hello everyone!

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Going Garmin. You had your chance to listen to your loyal customers about our request to revert back to the previous dashboard and you've ignored us. Later Fitbit!

I agree! This is not what I signed up for. How can they just change the app so drastically. It is not at all user-friendly!!

I really liked fitbit, i have one and bought one for my daughter. This new app changed me tracking my steps, comparing, checking other metrics a truly horrible experience, nothing seem to work, switching between the devices is confusing, they are not syncing, cannot find things which were easily accessible before.
i am considering buying a different brand devices as i hate it so much now…i hope fitbit can go back to the old version of the app.

I do not know why the app was changed! I complained to Fitbit customer service, but was told that nothing can be done. I am not going to be using my fitbit anymore

You have had nothing but negative responses from customers. What exactly is your strategy????

Awful design, poor implementation and dreadful communication.  What is it????

Best Answer

Well I tried.  I'm losing steps. My fit bit and the all do not communicate to each other.  I've done more than 10,000 and the app has me at 47. You can't even manually update to the accurate number of steps.

I think most of us are complaining in the hopes you will fix this issue. But after the reading the comments it doesn't appear you will.  After close to 10 years this relationship is broken.

Thanks for the gamin recommendations.  I might try that ring as well for my step counting.

I agree! Definitely not an improvement! I used to be able to edit the type of workout I did (Barre Class, Pilates, Yoga, Stretching), that field is not editable anymore, so I can't be more specific about my workout. Definitely a step backwards!

Yes, that also annoys me because I want to add yoga and other activities, too.

I don't understand how their development team could think this is better in any way at all.

Did they even ask any users?

I hate this new updated Fitbit app.  The old app I loved and was so easy to use.  Not complicated but gave great info in an easy to read format.  Why I have bought Fitbits for a long time.  I think this is my 5th Fitbit.  The new app is hard to find what you need.  I used to hit the steps and saw how many steps but also calorie burn and for how long.  Now I hit steps and not sure what it is telling me other than the step count.  No calorie or intensity info.  I click on Calorie separate in the new and not sure what it is showing me other than a calorie count but no intensity.  The energy burned is separate in the new that I don't like and I don't even know what it is showing me.  So glad the sleep duration section didn't change.  But the health metrics were within the sleep section.  Now I have to out to the home page to get to it.

PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD APP.  THE NEW IS A POOR DESIGN.

Well Fitbit/Google, you really shot yourself in the foot with this haven't you?

Your ONLY way out now, is to roll back your app, apologise for the inconvenience you have caused, and move on.

The longer you wait, the more your loyal users will jump ship never to return....

Whoever thought this one up, should either resign or shown the door.

Absolutely hate the newly designed app!  Fit bit-are you at all interested in the page after page after page of negative comments you’re receiving about the changes you’ve decided to foist on us? Change it back, please. Apple Watch is starting to look like something I’m going to check out…

Best Answer

I'm not a fan of the new app myself. Doesn't tell me the percentage my battery while charging anymore just low med high/full. Also harder to navigate I'd like the old app back.

I absolutely hate this new look as well! Also, it's very glitchy, doesn't measure my sleep properly anymore and doesn't sync well anymore.  I've had fitbits since 2015, loved everything about them in the past but am very disappointed now.  I will not get another one either if they don't change it!

my membership ends this month I am out of here and going over to Apple the best thing about the Fitbit was the app not anymore

Totally agree. As a UX designer, who did they work with to come up with this interface? Why is the battery level missing? There’s a ton of screen real estate to show the battery level! Then my biggest issue isn’t UX related - where’s the interface to feed the Apple Health app?? Fitbit, as a loyal customer for 10 years, you’re pushing me to an Apple Watch, as much as I don’t want to go.

I cant even read it i don't have dark mode its withe on withe.there was nothing wrong with the old design i only wich there were more free challenges or different ones.

I like it even less considering that mine doesn’t work at all. It won’t synch. Can’t delete it from my bluetooth to re-pair it, is missing at least a week’s worth of data. I think this is going to be my last Fitbit.

Lizzy, the update **ahem**ing sucks. It’s gained nothing and lost loads. It is now bland, unintuitive, and most importantly, does not accurately show activity. Change it back.
