Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

Sorry LizzyFitbit but the new app is just Horrible and basic.   Looks like a child had designed it.   Change it back please.   I've stopped even looking at it.   I don't like it at all sorry.  😔

There is an update to the FitBit app version 4.02. Because there are so many dissatisfied users, it is even more important to indicate what has been improved in an update.

What update? I have not received anything

See the Apple App Store.

In the past Fitbit has stated it will take approximately 10 days to roll updates out to all community members. That is why Lizzy Fitbit posts that the current update is four point XX after it has been made available to everyone.

I queried why I cannot have my profile picture in the top right corner as shown on the blurb at the top of the thread.  Unless you submit to the manipulation by Google and migrate to them you are stuffed.  That's the bottom line folks and I am not going to play their game.  I shall not be renewing my annual subscription for premium

-------

They are going to lose customers for sure

-------

Your profile picture is missing top right.  Google withholds it until you submit and migrate from Fitbit to Google, total manipulation

I cannot find any update. Still on version 4.01 and no attempt to downgrade to the old version has worked. And the problem that popped up yesterday is STILL there! The mobile app shows I walked 2.04 miles when it was really 3.28 - which is what it shows on the online dashboard! And to make matters worse the **ahem** mobile app goes back and forth! Can someone at Fitbit PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS??? I tried a chat with support last night and got so fed up when they told me to go thru the same old troubleshooting crap and THEN after TEN MINUTES of that BS said Fitbit "was aware of the problem"! All canned responses! They KNEW Fitbit was going to tank as soon as Google took over!

I found this update in the Apple store this morning. I am in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA and have been lucky enough to get access to the updates on the App Store early compared to those who have to wait the 10 days that Google says it might take for, the complete rollout of the updates. I am using version 4.02 as of this morning.

It's horrible.  I was willing to give it some time, but I don't like it at all.  The previous one was very user friendly and I could look and see things quickly that were important to me.  Not the case with this updated version. I really hate it.

Thanks, but I don't use anything Apple and there is no update on Play Store. Amazing...Google puts it Apple but NOT on their own Play Store! And the stupidity continues. Are they TRYING to lose customers?

Well, I’ve found one thing that’s changed. And it’s not good. It seems they’re done messing with the home page and have started digging into the submenus.
In the detail of the daily sleep record, in the “Time Asleep” detail, the “Sleep Schedule” reported is now the night’s start/stop time, no longer your goal schedule times as in the past. Yet one more goal you can no longer track.

Extremely unhappy with the app update. The colors and pie charts made everything useful. But it is not just what it looks like. The app no longer tracks the heart rate accurately or does sleep tracking. If you wake up even once during the night, you are no longer sleeping???? This never happened before and it’s been nine years that I have used this product. And why would I pay extra for Fitbit Premium if you cannot even get the basics right? Unless this is fixed or put back to the old version I am moving to the Apple Watch.  You can admit you made a mistake and put the prior version of the app back online. This is a disaster.

The new app sucks. I have had a Fitbit since 2015 and had zero problems until the new app came out a few weeks ago.  My data is totally unreliable.  It’s now useless to wear the Fitbit.  This is my last one.

Totally :hundred_points: agree

UPDATE

I think I was mistaken. I believe the sleep schedule is reported as it has been.

Well, it does seem to prove they were only in it for the $$. Google has it now and is apparently on the same path as E Musk is w/twitter/X: destroy something people liked in the hopes of making even more $$. The greed embedded in human nature wins out again again.

Hello everyone,

This will be my last post... no, I am not committing suicide, I just have enough of this. I'am choosing another tracker... not Apple (they have fundamentally the same illness as Google), but probably Garmin (they are, in my opinion the least arrogant, listen to THEIR CUSTOMERS, and are the most passionate about what they DO).

@Fitbit/Google, or any moderator, or whatever: you have deceived me, and also a lot of long time customers. You really show that you do not care about us. You fu**** up, and you don't give a sh**. And in a certain way, it is a honest attitude, but without expressing it, without loosing a word about it. Only your actions, or non-actions, tell the truth. So You need not to say anything, and I need not listen to what You do not say. A lot of saved time, a lot of lost opportunities. I will now delete my account, and I will not look back.

Bye bye cruel world.

This all reminds me of when Sparkpeople "sold out" a few years ago. I had been using their site for 10 years and they pulled the rug out from under all of us. Months and months with thousands of people posting accomplished absolutely nothing. Just like Google/Fitbit, they also didn't give a **ahem** about any of us. It's all about the money. I'm already looking for a new device.
