Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!

Hello, where can I find replies or answers to the questions people have raised? I am finding that the sleep doesn’t track as well anymore and I’d like to understand why and how to fix please.

Dear Lizzy. I have had a Fitbit since 2014. Please let Google know that the new app is so bad that I will be switching brands in the near future. They should feel free to reach out to me.

Moved to first level G******, switched search engines, emails, ditched maps (loved), sheets (ditto), just can't tear myself from beloved keyboard 😫. iOS 17 is supposed to be an improvement though.

The redesigned app design absolutely sucks. The colors are too monochromatic! It makes everything boring and hard to see. My participation in the app has plummeted since the redesign. Is there a way to revert to the old style? I don't see any functional changes that make this better. This version of the app is a perfect example of form over function.

I really dislike the new update of the fitbit app. It's not appealing. No challenges for motivation. The style is so dull. I don't understand why the changes and who thought this would be more motivating and easy to to look at. Really wish it would go back to what it was. It wasn't broke why "fix" it?

Terrible. The two tone design is difficult to distinguish features from each other. My eyes are searching, sea4ch8n* for someth8ng familiar. Please go back to the previous color and design scheme.

I couldn't agree more - it's like they built the new app to actively discourage us from using our Fitbits.

Fitbit-you need to “read the room”. This forum is now on page 85 of hundreds of comments from people who despise the changes you have made to the app, many of them giving you legitimate examples of reasons why it is inferior, and begging you to return to the original app (or at least to give us the option of that). And yet…crickets from you! How about a response?

As unappealing, uncustomizable and less useful as the new app is, the very worst part for me is that you can no longer see the percentage of charge your Fitbit has left every time you refresh the screen. My Fitbit dies on me constantly now, because I never know how much charge I have left. I shouldn't have click on an icon in the upper left corner and then guess how much power I have left. It should tell me exactly how much power I have left right on the homescreen. What an awful disappointment this update has been. I'm going to give it a little time - but Black Friday is coming - it might be time to look at other options. Both the Apple Watch and the Ice Watch sound like they could be good candidates.

Does anyone at Fitbit realize the new app sucks? Please revert back to to old app.

Hello
Yes I am nervous about that. I have never logged into a Google account and suddenly they have access to info about me I never consented to them having. That they are a company that cannot be trusted to act decently is obvious from the way we are all being ignored. By the weekend, I hope I will have decided what to get in lieu of Fitbit and chucked the band in the bin and deleted my account.

I think we all know that.
Not the point. When it charging you want to see it on app. More so: it was available in app, and when they “upgraded” the app it was removed. Many users don’t see this as an upgrade.

@SunsetRunner yes you can see the battery percentage on the device…..with a magnifying glass, at least on the Charge 5. The text is in microfiche.

New problems with 4.2, I can't be the only one this is happening to.
After I upgraded to 4.2 the app announced to me that it had lost the pairing to my Fitbit, and that I needed to remove my Versa 3 in the Bluetooth section of my settings and pair it again. I did so, but now I'm constantly getting a Bluetooth pairing request, and when I look at the Bluetooth in settings I can see that my Versa 3 is only partially paired. What I mean is that Versa 3 isn’t even on the list when the app isn’t open, and when the app is open Versa 3 shows up without the information icon. That means that I can't choose to have it unconnected or to have my Bluetooth to forget it so I can pair it again like the app keeps asking me to.
I'm also finding that I really can’t trust the data that l'm viewing. Many times I find different values on my dashboard as compared to when I click into each section. Which one is the correct one or are they both wrong?

Concur with all the others on this thread. The new 2-color app is just terrible. I used to look at the app several times per day. Now I never look a it.

Considering we are now on page 86 and judging by the comments on nearly all posts it's not going well is it? You will say you have consulted with us, taken on board the feedback then do sweet FA. I cannot be the only one who is not going to renew premium at renewal.

@SunsetRunner to see the charge on my Fitbit I have to scroll to a screen I never use, and the text is tiny. I use the app for everything because it is (was) so much easier to see all the data on one screen instead of having to scroll and scroll and scroll through the watch to see various bits of data. There is no reason for the battery level to not be on the screen. My Fitbit is unpredictable. It can be at 42 percent for a couple days, then drop to 16 percent overnight. It's frustrating to wake up and realize you have to plug your watch in immediately.
I do have to say, though, that I don't use the app nearly as much as I used to because the rapidly spinning numbers aggravate my migraines. So I've cut back at looking at both the app and the watch. Waiting for some good sales on non-Fitbit watches this fall. Feel like Fitbit has pulled the plug on me so I'll return the favor.
