Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

I feel the same. I’m so disgusted, and quitting too. Thanks for the heads up on the new device.
It’s good for sleep stages, O2, and long term tracking?

Best of luck.

Best Answer

Yes - it tracks sleep and gives you a score of up to 100. I will say that I have had a much lower sleep score with 965 than my Fitbit Sense. But then again - I could have a great sleep score with Fitbit and feel wrecked. Garmin tracks deep sleep - REM- awake/restlessness, HR, body battery (it tells you how much you recharged overnight), etc.

It does VO2 max and provides suggestions on where to improve - i.e... anaerobic, high aerobic, or low aerobic. And best of all - it actually registers the HR accurately during exercise. With Sense - I could be completely out of breath and go all out, but the device didn't even log active minutes.

Good luck.

The new Fitbit app layout sucks. Please tell your bosses. Just being real here. This new layout is plain vanilla....boring. I can't review my run history the way I used to. How did this version get approved??!

Thanks very much!

I have to concur with the long list of comments already on here,  but will you listen to your customers -  I’m not holding my breath.

since the update,  the app freezes with no option other than to close.

When scrolling it just crashes and closes.

BPM monitor does not display

Hiding a picture of a battery just isn’t good enough.   You can see it on the Charge display,  so having it on the app was very useful.

whoever authorised this release needs a new job because they have ruined what was a decent app.

i have to say that if it doesn’t improve you’ll lose customers to better rivals

Kids would do.a better job designing the app.

Thanks for the post. With all the bad reviews I've been seeing, it looks like I'm in good company.   I am hoping they will listen and make the necessary fixes.  I personally want the option to move things around on dashboard according to my needs not what they think I should see first.  Also return the GPS map to show your trail when you walk! This was one of my favorite features. I will give this time but I am due to upgrade my fitbit, so if things aren't fixed by end of year I'm looking for another option!!  Fitbit, please for the sake of your business, fix this!

I'm not a fan of the new app interface. I really liked the old one. This one all blends together and is not as user friendly as the old one.  Find it harder to read. I've been using fitbit for a few years now and I'm not sure that I will get another one after this one if something doesn't improve. I was hoping I would get used to it, but a month later and I still hate it.

I absolutely hate the new app. Please consider rolling it back to the way it was before. This update is horrible.

First post here just to say I would like the old UI back, REALLY don't like this new view and haven't found how to customize it to make seeing my stats more consumable.  Like, I'm now considering switching smart watches after maybe a decade of using fitbit.  Need a 'classic' setting ASAP to let us go back.

Same here; Fitbit user for yrs. When my current Fitbit device (Versa3)
dies, I’ll likely switch brands. I don’t see the ‘wisdom’ in annoying
long-term customers with changes they neither want nor like.

This app doesn't sync as well as the previous one, before the re-design.

Every time I opened the old version, it would be current with my steps.

This one, I pretty much have to refresh manually.

And often I'm walking so it refreshes and is already a couple of dozen steps behind and I have to manually refresh AGAIN.

Meanwhile it won't show the state of charge on my Charge 4 any more and it doesn't notify when my Charge 4 is low in charge either.

How is it in any way an improvement?

I did see a notification to buy new devices or when I opened it, there was some splash screen about buying new Fitbit devices.

That seems to be one of the reasons driving this change, a way to advertise more new products.

At least it doesn't pester me to subscribe to premium services.

Yet.

It’s not better with a charge 5.

Yes, my spouse, son, and daughter all have one. I was the only holdout bc I
got my 1st Fitbit before the Apple Watch was worthwhile and I stayed loyal.
Now it seems I’m being driven away.
I don’t understand; we buy these things repeatedly bc we like them, then
someone “inside” decides to change them. Why bother being loyal?🤔

The new app dashboard sucks!!!!! It looks like cheap garbage!  I was looking to update my Fitbit but I think I’m going to look into something different. Bad move Fitbit/Google.

I can't believe some people are still giving this app a 5 star review at the Apple Store! Who are these people?

Anyway, maybe the couple of thousand users here, venting their disapproval, should add THEIR reviews.

Marre,

Telling us "there's no way to revert to the old Fitbit app version", and then leaving a link to a post describing where everything is in the new crap pile of a UI, IS NOT HELPFUL. You are legitimately just making people more angry. Do us a favor, get on Zoom, phone your work from home boss, and express that he needs to look at the boards.

All of us have been pushed to the point of just spending the extra money to purchase an "A**LE
watch" or a "Gar**N watch" over Fitbit products. This is not some "small problem" that will go away with time because finicky consumers have short attention spans. Your returning market base are nerds who have now lost the functionality from this product that made them purchase it in the first place. Your company seems to have explicitly told us that it does not want our business. Convey that to your superiors and save us the redirects to pages that explain where things are in a UI that you guys seem to have done absolutely no user testing on.

I am really disappointed with the new app. It is unreliable with sleep score and work outs bring particularly affected. Unfortunately, it is rendering the device as useless. I have never had any unreliability issues with Fitbit prior to the implementation of this new app!
