Too many calories burned

Hi There,

It's 1035, I have been out of bed for 2 hours and have done 750 steps. I don't wear my fit bit blaze when I sleep. My calories burned says 2490. The 750 steps that I have done have not been at peak cardio. Help!

Thanks in advance.

Hello @PamRob, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board! Smiley Happy

The reason you're seeing a big amount of calories burned throughout the day without exercising is because Fitbit trackers take your BMR in consideration when calculating calories burned. All of us burn calories through the day only by breathing or moving around and your tracker takes in consideration your weight, height, age and gender in consideration when calculating calories burned even if you're not using it during the day or during the night.

I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted.
