I've had the FitBit for a few weeks now, but when I check my stats on the "x of 7 days exercise" tile on the app (iOS iphone 6) so I can see the totals of my tracked walks/runs, exercise that was tracked over 7 days ago just seems to randomly disappear. The last 7 days seems accurate, but anything beyond that disappears and sometimes reappears. So I am getting different totals for distance, calories duration etc every time I look at it.
When I log on to my account on the FitBit website, all of my tracked exercise is listed there in the "Activity History" and I can see maps/stats for each workout (though it doesn't give me weekly/monthly totals as I would like) but on the app, workouts from this list seem to come and go when they are over 7 days old.
Any reason why this is happening?

Hello @JCall, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board! ![]()
Thanks for letting me know about this issue. Our team is aware of the problem and is working to resolve it as quickly as possible. It seems the information is not updating correctly on the app, which is why I would like to suggest force-closing the app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swiping it up. If that doesn't do the trick, please log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it's caused. I appreciate your patience and understanding. If there's anything else I can help you with, please keep me posted! ![]()
Hi, and thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, I have closed the app completely numerous times, I have switched my phone off and on, I have even uninstalled the app completely and then reinstalled, but the problem persists.
My tracked exercise is wrong on the desktop app too, so I assume it is a widespread issue?
Best Answer@MarcoGFitbit Is there a time scale on when this will be fixed? One of the reasons I migrated to Fitbit was because the app looked like it was capable of doing what Endomondo could do (which I was using before I got the Fitbit), but in greater detail. I like to keep monthly records of my distances, and try to bet those records, but so far with the Fitbit app, my distances constantly go up and down. It's a bit annoying.
Best AnswerThis request describes perfectly a problem I have discovered with the fitbit iOS app.
Entire weeks of logged exercise activity disappear and reappear, although I see all activity is recorded correctly in fitbit.com. Total calories/distance/etc change each time I look at them depending on whether the weeks have appeared/disappeared.
I am using iPhone 7 with up to date iOS system and an updated fitbit app.I have tried logging out and in including a phone reboot which made no difference.
I note the original post was in March and it os now July - has a fix for the app been created?

At this moment I don't have a specific timeframe for when this situation will be resolved. Out team is working towards a prompt and proper solution and sometimes it might take a bit longer than anticipated. I appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue. Let me know if I can assist you further with anything else, I'll be happy to help.

Hello @Whiskee, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. ![]()
I understand your concern about this situation, even if the app is not able to show the information recorded by your tracker, you can go to the exercise section of the online Dashboard to check your activities, they should be recorded here.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.
Best AnswerThis has been happening to me too. Has the problem arisen for others too? I'm using android with the fitbit charge 3.
Best AnswerThis is now happening to me. I have a versa and I wanted to compare a auto recognized workout from today to one last week and I realized when I went into the app to look my workouts for that week were gone! I knew they were there because I had screen shot them previously so I know they were all updated in the app. why is my data disappearing!?😕
So this has been an issue for over 4 years, now? When can we expect it to be addressed properly? Very distressing to see my past workouts disappear on the app when I'm trying compare performance and/or stats. I don't understand how or why exercise disappears and then reappears weeks later. 😞 Please help.
Still happening in November 2021!
I received a Fitbit Charge 4 as a gift. I'm glad I didn't pay for it.
Between the inaccuracies in the watch and the amount of bugs in the app, I'd never recommend Fitbit to anyone.
Best AnswerHI @MarcoGFitbit,
This is also happening to me. On the app, for example, it will say something like "7 workouts" but then only show 4 of them, and when I look at the calendar view, they are missing. But then some random time later, they come back.
However, when looking at the web browser dashboard, I see that indeed the workouts are still recorded.
So this is obviously a known behavior since at least 2017. Why hadn't the issue been resolved in an update? Why does this need to be the way the app behaves?
Thanks,
-Freddie
Best AnswerI am having the exact same problem. But the records are there when I look for them using the web dashboard and when I export my data to a csv. So they are still saved but for some inexplicable reason they are not being included in the app. This is the last of a long line of problems I've had with Fitbit. After seeing that this issue has been known for *five years*, I have no faith left in this company. Anyone want a two-month-old Sense?
Same here, about a month of use and suddenly all my past exercise sessions have vanished from the app. They show on the site so it's just the app I guess.
Very disappointing from the mighty Fitbit.
