My charge hr has stopped recognising walking as an exercise. It still counts steps. If I log the walk manually it adds on the equivalent steps so it's over counting. Tried resetting and updating app but still not working

Hello @Kath1, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board!
When you mentioned the tracker is not recognizing the activity, does that mean it's not showing on the Exercise tile when you tap on it? When did this issue start? Does this happen with other activities?
It is possible that the information on the Fitbit app is not updating correctly as when you log in the information manually it's over counting steps. To verify this, please go to your online Dashboard and check if your activity is being recorded automatically. If it's showing please return to your app, logout from it, restart your phone and log back in, this should refresh the information and show the exercises.
I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply!
