Unable to Search for Food (or bar code scan for food)

Today if I click on the search bar to find a food it only allows me to create a custom food - no search results appear no matter what I type. This is the case before and after updating. I also deleted and reinstalled the app.

Still not able to search the food database but I am now able to scan barcodes. I have deleted the app twice and restarted my phone twice.
Some info that might be helpful- my cell phone is an iPhone 13, iOS18.6.2, my device is an Inspire 2, app version 4.56 (45640025)

Last I checked, my barcode scanner and food search are still working fine.

This is not the case unfortunately for me. This is a massive let down I need to count my carbs using this. Maybe time to find another app.

The fix isn’t working, I still only have the option of add a Custom food. Am unable to search for anything other than Recent or Frequently items

Food search is working again, but now I can't log any new custom foods. The tab opens, allows me to edit everything other than serving/g/ml etc but it won't let me save
