It’s currently not possible to add decimal when logging custom foods in the iOS app. The issue is a recent one as it worked in earlier versions.

Hello @CarlAlexander, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community.
Thanks for bringing this situation to my attention. Please note that at this moment when creating a Custom Food or adding a new food log based on a Custom Food, it's not possible to add decimals, only fractions. When you log a Custom Food through the online Dashboard, you can add decimals but when the log is recorded it will show fractions as well.
I know how important this is for you but there aren't currently any plans to release this feature in a near future. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us and we will let you know if anything changes.
I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

To be quite honest - why exactly? I've added hundreds of foods and nearly all of them in the app. It has never been an issue before so why make it more difficult than it was? And why is the decimal still present when we are not allowed to use it? This makes no sense at all.

Thanks but again, this is quite unbelievable. This is not a request for a new function but information about a broken function that needs to be to fixed - which by the way is working on my (unused) Android phone ...?! And yes, I understand that I can edit foods on the web site but you need to connect from a PC because editing on a phone or pad is impossible mainly because you can't zoom in on the modal dialog on the page to be able to see the text properly - it insists on being locked in the middle of the screen making it impossible to properly edit the page content. So all in all - users can't accurately add custom foods in their own language in an easy and user friendly way but are in reality forced to sit down by a computer just to be able to add this - . - a decimal - making it possible to register 10.5 g (of something) and not 10 or 11 and change it after the fact just because Fitbit developers clearly don't see the point in accuracy. The real world problem here is that all declarations are using decimal values. Almost nothing is ever expressed in only integers on a food declaration ...
To sum it up - just activate the '.' already showing on the Create Food registration page on the device - it's that simple. It has worked before and I'm pretty sure it is remarkable easy to make it work (again).

Just some additional information regarding this bug. I just did a quick test on my iPhone. I changed the region to US - and what do you know - the decimal is working. The implication of this is that there is a localization/globalization problem in the Fitbit app causing a serious and unnecessary problem for all international users living in regions where ',' (comma) is used as a decimal separator as opposed to '.' (as in English speaking countries). Programming for international markets this really should be basic 101 knowledge for the developers.

Hi!
This has again become an issue. Decimal button has disappeared again in one of t(e lates5 builds. Not shire when. Doesn’t even appear for US region settings last time I checked.
