Unable to add to an iPod touch

I’ve tried turning Bluetooth on and off, turning iPod on and off, connecting under Fitbit inspire and inspire hd and the device is still not found ....at a loss as what to do next.  This was bought for a Christmas gift and I’ve been trying since then to get it added but have stopped each time and what sound be simple is not working! Any advice would be very welcome before I end up retiring the Fitbit.   Thanks

Hello @Bennimogen which model iPad do you have?

Has the tracker been setup to your account, or is this what your trying to do. The Inspire does not have lights on the back, the Inspire HR does.

We have to help docs for you to check out.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I am trying to sync the inspire HR with an
iPod touch, I have downloaded the Fitbit app to the iPod touch which was
successful but it will not recognise the inspire HD. It keeps asking me to
check for Bluetooth which is on, I have tried turning it off then back on
which does not work and I’ve tried turning the phone on and off too ...
neither work. Any advice would be welcome.

Did you ever solve this problem? We are experiencing the same thing with the Inspire.

Hi @Bennimogen and welcome to the forums!  Unfortunately, any Apple product must be able to update to their iOS 12.2 or higher. The iPod touch is not on the list of Supported Devices, likely because Apple no longer supports it with iOS updates.
