Unable to change fitbit alta

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Fitbit Alta that stopped recharging. I went back to an old fitbit flex which worked for awhile but now it won’t sync with my iPhone SE. I tried disconnecting it but now I cannot get it to pair back up. I restarted my phone and still nothing.

Sorry about the issues you're having, @Hwestphal. But happy you found us here. The best thing for you to try is resetting your devices. Instructions are here. Go thru the process 2 or 3 times for each device then please let us know if that helps.

I’m not sure if I replied correctly. I tried resetting and it didn’t work. What do I do now?

I'm sorry that did not work, @Hwestphal. The best thing to do at this point is to contact Support. They will advice you to

  • remove the Fitbit device(s) from your iPhone app
  • go to Bluetooth in your phone settings and "forget" the fitbit devices
  • delete the app from your phone
  • restart the Flex 2 or 3 times
  • reinstall the app and re-connect your Flex

So you may want to try that on your own before calling. The Alta issue (of not charging) is a separate problem. If you have restarted the ALta several times and it still will not charge, you can let Support know that.

Hope it works out for you. If it doesn't, I've had great success with my Alta HR and now, more recently with my Ionic
