Unable to change main goal from the Fitbit app for Charge 3.

When I go into the app on my iPhone and change the fitness goal from steps to active minutes, as soon as I sync my watch it reverts back to steps. I also can’t edit my fitness shortcuts, for the same reason.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for bringing this situation to my attention. At this moment I would like to suggest you to force-quit the Fitbit app and try to change your Main Goal and Exercise Shortcuts again, if this doesn't seem to work, log out from the app, restart your phone, log back in and try again. 

 

Now, if these steps don't work and you're still unable to change your Main Goal and Exercise Shortcuts, go to the Device Settings section of the Online Dashboard and change them from there. Make sure to sync your Charge 3 afterwards.

None of your suggestions worked for me. My main goal randomly changed from Steps to Floors and no matter what I do, I cannot change it back. Should I delete my account?

@JoeRoos   Do not delete your account.  You will lose all your data since day one of owning a Fitbit and it cannot be retrieved.

 

Can you describe some of the "everything" you have done?  I have some thoughts, but don't want to repeat things you have tried.

I force-quit the Fitbit app and tried to change my Main Goal and Exercise Shortcuts. No results.

I logged out from the app, restarted my phone and logged back in and tried again. No results. 

I went to the Device Settings section of the Online Dashboard and changed them from there, then synced the app. No results.
