Hi, I cannot download the Fitbit app on my iPad Pro. Do you know why and what's the solution?

This is the list of currently certified, compatible devices, The iPad Pro is not yet certified so you can't download the app.

Hello @Tinkers0413, welcome aboard to our Community.
Note that despite the Fitbit app was not designed for iPad, but you still can download the Fitbit app. So far we don't have any update if the app will be conditioned to work specifically with iPads.
To download the app on an iPad, you can do the following:
1. Open the App Store.
2. In the top-right search field, type "Fitbit."
3. If you do not see the Fitbit app in your search results, please tap "iPad Only" in the top menu bar and then "iPhone Only" from the dropdown menu; the Fitbit app should appear.
4. Tap "FREE" then "INSTALL" to install the Fitbit app.
There is also a request on our Feature suggestions board, similar to this request called: iPad App. Perhaps you can find interesting this idea so you can share your vote and comments to make more popular this request.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions.

I am having the same problem. It won't load on my Ipad pro. It doesn't show as being available in the itunes store. However, it show's on my husband's. He did't experience any problems.

Hello @butterfliii, welcome to the Fitbit Community!.
As @RobertoME mentioned, the Fitbit app is technically an iPhone app but it can also be used on an iPad Pro as it's listed as a compatible device. To locate it, open the App Store and on the upper left corner, change the dropdown from iPad only to iPhone only, then search for Fitbit.
@Tinkers0413, if your tracker is paired to the Bluetooth on your phone, this bond may prevent the tracker from syncing to a second mobile device. In this case I'd like to recommend checking the steps listed on this article.
I hope this information can be useful, feel free to reply in case you need anything else.

Hi there @Tinkers0413, I hope you're welll.
If you're using Notifications, it's only possible to pair the tracker with 1 mobile device as the bond is needed to receive Notifications. If Notifications are not setup for your phone, it's possible for the iPad to sync to your tracker as well as your iPhone because it's not bonded (paired) to the Bluetooth on any of your devices. Go to Settings > Bluetooth to check if your Fitbit tracker is paired to the Bluetooth, disabling Bluetooth in one device will allow the tracker to sync with the other one.
I hope this information can be useful, feel free to reply if you need anything else!

Can you explain what you mean by certified. Is this something that’s going to happen in the future. I’m just about to return my ionic due to problems syncing with Comcast WiFi and my iPad Pro. Very disappointed.

Hello @Tinkers0413, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around. It's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community @Figbit, it's great to have you on board.
@Figbit, 'certified' means that the mobile device has been added to the list of supported devices on the Fitbit app. At this moment the iPad Pro has already been added to this list. If you're having trouble with your Ionic please reply to me with more details about this issue and a screenshot if necessary, I'll be happy to continue helping you.
I hope this resolves your inquiry, in case you need anything else please feel free to reply as well.

Hello @Figbit and @Tinkers0413, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply.
@Figbit, when you try to update your Ionic, are you getting a message before starting the update? Did you set up a WiFi connection before the update? Please keep in mind that the if Ionic is updating for the first time, it might take up to one and a half hours to finish, which is recommended the tracker is fully charged. Also, during the update, you can lock your phone but please do not close the Fitbit app.
@Tinkers0413, please remember that your tracker will only sync correctly with one device (iPad or iPhone) if you have set up Notifications on one of the trackers, as it will establish a Bluetooth connection with that specific device, preventing it from syncing correctly with the other one unless said device is away, the Bluetooth has been turned off or the device is turned off.
I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please don't hesitate to reply.

OK, I just checked the list of supported devices in the link for this post...It is December 25, 2017 and Fitbit is STILL NOT supporting the iPhone 7 or the iPad Pro...Are you guys living in a cave out there on the West Coast??? I’m pretty much ready to toss my Fitbit Charge 2 in the trash because the software is so outdated that I cannot sync with the one-generation old iPhone or the newer iPad Pro...What gives, Fitbit...

I just read this post and am astonished that the Bluetooth pairing for Fitbit is so limited...When I had an iPhone 6 and an iPad Air, I had Fitbit working on both devices and would get a notification on Fitbit that I was receiving a phone call...Now, upgrading to an iPhone 7 and an iPad Pro (which are both well established devices now), my Fitbit Charge 2 has stopped syncing to anything...guess it is a good thing I still have the old iPad Air...Fitbit software is in serious need of a do over!!
