Hello @SunsetRunner, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board!

If you're not able to log in to the Fitbit app and you have already restarted your password, please go to the online Dashboard and check if you're able to log in there. If you are, please go to your phone Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure Set Automatically is enabled. Then, go to the Fitbit app and try to log in again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else! Smiley Wink

I have the same problem. My Fitbit hasn't synced since late March. It would go about halfway through a sync (arrows turning in a circle) and then abandon the sync. I force-quit the app and restarted it and now I can't even log in. After typing in my username and password the circle just goes around endlessly.

i have turned Bluetooth off and on -- no luck. I can log in at Fitbit.com on the web and I reset my password but the app still freezes up in the log-in phase. Is this a bug in the new version of the app? Sounds like it came out around the same time it stopped working.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Forgot to add that I also deleted the app and reinstalled it but that didn't work either -- I can enter my username and password but after pressing "log in" nothing happens.

Which phone are you currently using? Which iOS version is currently installed in your phone? Are you able to log in to the online Dashboard with your credentials?

As mentioned above, if you're able to log in to the online Dashboard, please go to your phone Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure Set Automatically is enabled. Then restart your phone and try to log back in.

Hi Marco,

Thank you for replying! I looks like my app was updated itself and logged me out. When I logged back in again, it finally synced! Yay!

I never lost access to my data on the web-based dashboard. However when I looked under Settings > General there was no option for date and time. The closest thing was whether to display time in 12 hour or 24 hour mode. My options are: Personal info, notifications, privacy, data export, applications, sharing and help.

I couldn't find a place to set it to sync automatically, but that's what it used to do anyway. I hope it will resume on its own.

In case it's helpful for future trouble-shooting, I am using iOS version 10.3.1.

Thanks!!

Karen

Hello @SunsetRunner and @KarenKaplan, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply! Smiley Happy

@SunsetRunner, I'm very glad the troubleshooting steps provided were helpful for you and that you were able to log in to the Fitbit app.

@KarenKaplan, I'm also glad you were able to log in. If by any chance you're not able to log in again, you can locate Date & Time under the General Settings, tap on it and you'll be able to see the Set Automatically option.

Same problem. And okay...This is an option to set date & time automatically, thank you, trying it now. But this is not a solution? Some people need to keep date & time on manual on their phones. Any chance they can look at that in a future update?

Thanks much,

Hello @LP2, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, thank you for joining the conversation! Smiley Happy

I understand many people would like to keep the date & time to manual on their phones, in which case I would like to suggest only setting it to automatic in case you have logged out and are unable to log in. Once logged in you can change Date & Time back to manual.

I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted.
