Hi @DeejCo,

Just a heads up, I've merged your post into this thread to help keep the iOS forum organized.

I'd recommend the steps mentioned in my post above, they should help with receiving notifications and All-Day sync on your Alta.

@Billyt to answer your question, toggling "Allow Notifications" in your iOS settings for the phone, messages, or calendar app will trigger push notifications on your phone for calls, text, and incoming calendar events.

Did you hold the button on your tracker until it changes the notification settings there? It is a bit hidden, but enables quick changes for notifications when you have to disable them for meetings, weddings and whatnot.

Ah, I thought you meant notifications on your FitBit from the iPhone. On your phone go to Settings -> FitBit (should be in the list of apps) and there you can set up notifications.

I have unpaired and paired again, restarted my Fitbit numerous times and checked all the settings on my iPhone and Fitbit app and I cannot figure out why my notifications have stopped showing on my charge 2.  Please help!

Have you all checked to be sure on the Charge 2 notifications are on?  From the main clock screen, press and hold button to check.  This toggles notifications "on" or "off".

Perhaps check that and maybe it has been turned off.  I have inadvertently done this while putting in the charger.

@Ratho @emjaytracey @Jennieme @Esya @Billyt Do the steps below help with receiving notifications from your iPhone?

  1. Open your iOS settings > tap notifications > tap  phone/messages/calendar > and toggle "Allow Notifications" on.
  2. Keep in mind that if you have an open message on your phone, you won't receive a text notification on your Fitbit tracker. Your tracker displays new texts that you haven't already read.
  3. If you manage multiple Bluetooth connections on your iPhone, your Fitbit tracker might stop receiving call/text/calendar notifications. Click here for more information.
  4. If the problem still persists, I'd then recommend the troubleshooting steps mentioned here.

Keep me posted if this helps.

Turns out when I put the Fitbit on the charger, I turned the notifications off by hitting the button on the side. I had to just push the button in and toggle between notifications on and notifications off. I thought I was losing it!

Does that effect me receiving notifications on my iPhone tho ?

It says I need to pair with my Bluetooth. I can see that it is paired. I have removed the device twice from my phone and also from Bluetooth, and have also restarted it and my iPhone twice. Any suggestions on what else to do? Thanks!

Thank you, I have had all these problems having just bought a fitbit. I couldn't get any notifications. The on-line chat people took me through all the troubleshooting and told me to take it back to the shop. Turns out I had my messages open on my phone whilst I was test texting it. Works perfectly now phone is in lock mode.

Hello @GadgetUser thanks for joining the conversation, it's always great to welcome new members to the Fitbit Community.

I appreciate you have already checked that Notifications are ON in your device. Please note that in-app Notifications were removed from the Fitbit app on June 2018 as it was heavily requested by many people, which is why you're not able to see them anymore. From that date forward, you will only receive push Notifications on your phone.

Thanks for posting your question, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.
