I have done all the suggestions, everything is on, restarted, uninstalled the app, and I am still unable to receive text notifications. I’m frustrated and ready to return it.

Pay special attention to page one of that thread and follow all the steps very carefully. If you’re still experiencing issues after carefully performing each step provided then please keep an eye on that thread. If any further updates or information become available it will be posted there. Hopefully the posted steps will have you up and running again.
😃 It appears a lot of individuals miss the step to go under notifications>messages and make sure the previews are set to always or when unlocked. Just want to bring that to your attention. Hopefully this helps.

i have checked the notifications numerous times, I am planning on taking it back. This is extremely frustrating.
