Unable to remove exercise shortcuts on Charge 3.

Have the Charge 3 syncing, removed three of the exercise shortcuts via the iOS app, added two others.  I click done, and back, click sync and the shortcuts I changed do not show on the Charge 3 exercise screen and when I go back to exercise shortcuts on iOS they are back to the defaults.

 

The Charge 3 is 80% charged and syncing fine, version 20001.31.85, iOS app is v 2.80 (794).

 

Any thoughts?

Thank you for helping. I have done all those things. This morning I turned my phone off again, and finally everything for the past week sync’d in but it’s not working again. It’s so frustrating. 

I’ve unistalled, reinstalled, shut down several times, and it grabs data once and then doesn’t.

Please note that some Fitbit devices (Charge 3, Ionic and Versa) have an Exercise app, that let you start an activity directly from the tracker or watch. These are called Exercise Shortcuts. You can choose from over 15 exercise types—including run, interval workout, swim, and yoga, to customize the app with your favorite workouts. If a specific exercise isn’t available, choose workout as your exercise type.

 

From the Fitbit app you can arrange Exercise Shortcuts, delete them and add new ones. Keep in mind that you can only have 7 at a time:

 

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon your device image.
  2. Tap Exercise Shortcuts.
  3. To add a new exercise shortcut, tap the + icon and select an exercise. 
  4. To remove an exercise shortcut, swipe left on a shortcut.
  5. To reorder an exercise shortcut, press and hold a shortcut, then drag it up or down to change its position.
  6. Sync your device.

I am having similar problems to those listed already, in addition to not syncing at all or even turning on (yes the Fitbit charge 3 is charged) on the face there is the Fitbit logo in dots that flash in a rotating pattern with the number 001 underneath.

I have followed all troubleshoot steps, restart the device multiple times, attempt to sync to phone, uninstall app and reinstall app, ensure phone is updated to current version, Bluetooth off then on, phone restart.......etc all with no luck, now my phone cannot even find the charge 3 to add it into the Fitbit app again.

Exhausting, only received for Christmas, not happy.

My daughter received the 2 for Christmas and it is working just fine, why pay extra for additional features when it stops working after 2 months?!

I think at this point that Fitbit should recall the Charge 3 and refund consumers. Clearly it was not ready for market.

Didn’t go exactly like this I had to take my tracker off the charging station then put back on for the smile to finally come up but better than other suggestions...now hopefully when I get everything paired and synced the sleep problem will work again.  This issue needs a permanent solution!!!!  I’m on a thread for a different issue, but your link for restarting the tracker helped...I hope.  I had the Charge HR several years ago, never had these kind of issues.

Hi, I was struggling with every time I put my  phone/iPad down and came back to do something involving my Fitbit I then have to re-sync them both, the tracker, iPad and iPhone were all cm’s apart. I’ve tried connecting it to the charger and counting the 8 seconds x3, no change. Not had it a week yet and is giving more headaches than I care  to mention. Anybody an ideas out there?. Please!!

Hello, I had ongoing problems to get my Iphone 5 to work correctly I tried all the tips from fitbit techs and the wider fitbit community. My problem was trying to get my phone to sync with all my devices and the fit bit techs insisted it was syncing, I particularly wanted my watch notifications to notify me when I had messages and if I am receiving a call on my phone. I never really got that to work on my Iphone. I have heard of other people who do not have problems with this on iphone so it appears to be a problem only on some phones.
My phone was due for an upgrade so I bought a samsung Galaxy 8 and it works well with my new phone.
It might help if you just use your iphone for syncing with your watch and don’t use both ipad and iphone. ( someone did suggest this to me). It did not work for me.
I have also found that sometimes after I update to a new software version on my Galaxy 8 or my fitbit or if I let my phone or watch run out of charge that sometimes I have a problem with syncing and getting notifications. I found that the solution to this is to switch off my phone and also reboot my watch. If this does not work then I remove the fitbit app off my phone completely then I reload it onto my phone and reset all the notifications and other options. I then reboot my phone and watch that seems to work and I rarely have to do this. Hope trying this might work for you good luck.

I've done this multiple times and still not working. I have done a device restart/reboot too. Have turned my phone on and off multiple times too.

My NEW Fitbit3 is not responding at all.After an hour trying to sync it with my iphone 8 last night, I stopped, tried again today and now I cannot even re-start it! Very aggravating. My fitbit2, before this new one, has not given me notifications since my upgrading to iphone 8 a few months ago.

 

You guys really need to figure this out. I am following all the instructions and still no luck.  This is my 3rd fitbit...I am love all the features but this one may be going back and I will try an apple watch.

Sorry restart doesn't work. last night after charging and wearing to bed, it showed 955 CHARGED. Will nor wake up this morning. buzzes when squeezed, and cannot sync to phone restarted phone and blue tooth with no success. put on charger and held buttons 8 seconds and nothing. putting on my watch now.

Hi have done this  amongst every single other suggestion also the time will not show correct time it is two hours behind .Is there anything else as this is the second fit bit in a row exactly same problem.not sure if fitbit are really thet good
