Unable to see Blaze in iPhone 8+

Well I’ve gotten a new iPhone. I set it up from a back up of the old phone. I deleted the iPhone from the app and on phone.

I can put blaze in pair mode and connect it to the phone. But when I use the app it does not see the phone at all? At what stage do I pair phone with watch before or after pairing with app as it won’t work either way for me.

Cheers

Hello @Gros21, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around. Smiley Happy

How are you putting the Blaze in pair mode? Are you using the Bluetooth Classing option in the Blaze? Please note that this option will pair to your phone's Bluetooth but it's only to add music control. To sync or pair your Blaze you will need to use the Fitbit app.

Please go to the Fitbit app and tap on Account and check if your Blaze is listed under your name. If it is, try to sync. If it's not syncing correctly, restart your Blaze by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.

If your tracker is not listed under your name, please set it up as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices (check for Blaze, not Blaze (classic)). If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. If (or when) the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink

Having same problem. I have tried using the app to add the blaze as a new device and i can’t get the app to recognize the blaze on my 8+. Tried deleting and adding the blaze on my old 6+ and it works fine. Can’t repeat the process on the 8+. Please advise.

Hello @Efaniallah, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community! Smiley Happy

Thanks for trying the troubleshooting steps described above, if you're able to add the Blaze to your iPhone 6+ it's possible there's still a Bluetooth connection between the iPhone 6+ and your Blaze. In this case, my best recommendation would be going to your iPhone 6+ Bluetooth settings and remove the Blaze from the paired devices. Then, turn off the phone and open the Fitbit app in the iPhone 8+, then try to sync.

If the tracker is still not syncing, please go to Account > Blaze > All-day Sync and enable it, a pop-up will appear asking you to "pair" your tracker to your phone, please do as it will establish a new Bluetooth connection on the new phone.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case there's anything else I can do for you. Smiley Wink
