Unable to set up Fitbit Flex.

I just got the fitbit flex from my girlfriend because she upgraded to the blaze. when trying to set it up on both my macbook and my iPhone 6s i get the message the network connection was lost right after i tap the flex to get it to vibrate. i do not understand why this is happening. we have tried reseting it multiple times and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Please help!

If your Flex is not setting up, I would like to suggest the following:

 

  1. Restart your tracker a couple more times.
  2. Restart your computer or phone (the one you'd like to use to set up your tracker)
  3. Make sure no other Bluetooth device is around.
  4. Make sure your internet is working correctly (WiFi or data)
  5. Try to set up your tracker once again.
