I just got the fitbit flex from my girlfriend because she upgraded to the blaze. when trying to set it up on both my macbook and my iPhone 6s i get the message the network connection was lost right after i tap the flex to get it to vibrate. i do not understand why this is happening. we have tried reseting it multiple times and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Please help!

Thanks for joining us @jklinerfl, it's nice to have you on board the Community!
If your Flex is not setting up, I would like to suggest the following:
- Restart your tracker a couple more times.
- Restart your computer or phone (the one you'd like to use to set up your tracker)
- Make sure no other Bluetooth device is around.
- Make sure your internet is working correctly (WiFi or data)
- Try to set up your tracker once again.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else!
