Charge 2 won’t update. Keep getting an error message even though blue tooth enabled. Charge device shows an exclamation point on the display.

Are you doing a firmware update @Musicbuff9?

Since your asking about a phone problem, may I ask what model phone do you have?

Hello @Musicbuff9, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you around too @Rich_Laue, thanks for all your help and for keeping the Forums organized. Smiley Happy

@Musicbuff9, I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for bringing this situation to our attention. At this moment if you're still having trouble updating your Charge 2, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device. Then restart your phone and try to update the tracker again.

If you're still having trouble updating it, please try to set up the tracker as a new device to force the firmware update to finish. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted. To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  2. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  3. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
  4. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.
