I received a notification today that there was an update to the fitbit app. I tried to install the update on my iPhone that haas wireless enabled and the app kept looking for wireless - which works on the phone - but the update keop "looking for wireless". Any suggestions? The device works with current software and does what I need. Is there any downside in ignoring the update?

Thanks for the reply. I finally found the problem. I normally use the
watch wirh my iPhone. We had changed our router (replaced an
unsupported Apple TimeCapsule) and changed the WiFi password. I had
not updated the WiFi on the watch. Finally found and fixed the
problem... The update worked!

Thanks,
John

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @SunsetRunner

I certainly would encourage you to update your Fitbit App to the latest version. Each update comes with its own fixes and performance improvements. I would try turning your iPhone off, wait 1-2 mins, restart your iPhone then try to perform the update again. Hopefully that will work.
😃 Please keep me updated
