In order to ensure an optimal experience, please take a moment to update your Fitbit app to the latest version by September 30th for those using Fitbit app versions 3.00 to 3.90 and 4.00 to 4.21. If you wait beyond that date to update, the Fitbit App could experience performance issues.
Visit the Apple App Store to update the Fitbit app.
To determine your app version:
For Fitbit App 3.00 - 3.90
Google Account: Today > Account Menu (Top Right Icon) > Help > Version
Fitbit Account: Today > Account Menu (Top Left Icon) > Help & Support > Version
For Fitbit App 4.00 - 4.22 (and higher)
Google Account: Today > Google Account Menu (Top Right Icon) > Help > App Version
Fitbit Account: Today > Settings (Top Right Gear) > Help > App Version

@AndreaFitbit it looks like you are active on other threads but not on this one.
According to the info provided you are someone that is here to ‘answer questions, escalate bugs, and make sure our voice is heard by the larger FitBit team.’
At an absolute minimum, can you please confirm any of the above has happened?

I am having similar issues and have tried resetting the versa 2. Changed over to google, uninstalled and reinstalled the app to my iphone. Reached out by email to Fitbit for help. My Fitbit no longer tracks my sleep score however has the sleep stages. It is very disappointing.

I just updated to 4.26 on iOS and it is still behaving the same way. What was the point of telling us to migrate the account to Google, if you will keep this app error going for three weeks' worth of app updates, and will not only apparently do nothing to fix it, but will also just freeze us out on the forum? Are you trying to get rid of anyone who was foolish enough to follow your advice and migrated their account to google?

I have tried absolutely every suggestion I can find. Hours and hours spent trying to get back the information like sleep score up and working again. I tried emailing Fitbit for help with nothing back. All update and reboots of app and phone and going to google and nothing worked.

This is frustrating! About two days ago, I noticed my step count in the app didn't match the actual steps from my Charge 6. I tried restarting my phone, syncing, and also taking off the app and reinstalling it, etc., like I saw from posts regarding this issue from other years. My husband's app is also now having the step discrepancy. When is Fitbit going to let us know a fix?

It's been 18+ days since this crappy update. When is this getting fixed? I've been using Fitbit for 8 years. I think it's time I move on to a more reliable fitness tracker. (which is basically anything else BUT Fitbit)

This morning I received a message that they have added features that elevate "your health and fitness" I was hopeful that they perhaps fixed all the other bugs before adding to the broken app. But nope, app did not track my morning workout again and still no sleep score. And when I manually add my workout it does not keep the information in the app.

Is this a joke? "If you wait beyond that date to update, the Fitbit App could experience performance issues." We're on the most recent app and we're experiencing major issues. If someone has a working app, I would strongly recommend that they do not update.

My daughter's Ace 3 (I manage it through my Fitbit app as a parent) hasn't synced for 12 days, and I've tried every trouble shooting tip I have found. No problems with my pixel watch 2 on the same app under my profile, but the Fitbit Ace 3 will not sync at all. Very frustrating.
I'm using app version 4.25.2

Question: have either of you migrated your account to google? My anecdotal theory is that this is happening to tjose of us who have migrated, and not to those who have not migrated their account...
09-22-2024 22:19
09-22-2024 22:19
hey, I migrated AFTER the problem started, to try if it would solve it...
can say that it was there around 10days before I went to Google

Same here, migrating didn’t resolve anything for me. I just presumed it would create less problems later, assuming that there would be a resolution, eventually.
That seems overly optimistic now!

Strongly protest against forcing old users to update the app to the latest version, as they are limited by the system version of their phone and cannot update to the latest version. For example, I am using iPhone XSMax and iOS 12.3.1, I can only install Fitbit 3.42 version at most, and I don't want to update my phone system because it will reduce battery life and heat up. In the current Fitbit version, I have encountered many problems in recent months. Firstly, it is frequently unable to synchronize. Secondly, the running pace is no longer displayed, which is very troublesome. I cannot view my running data in real time. I don't know if the server has restricted the functions of low version users and required them to upgrade to the latest version to use all functions. This is a very despicable practice. I hope that users who are facing the same problem as me can join forces to protest!

Version 4.26.1 iOS installed today (9/24) and the same error IS STILL THERE! App finds no record of prior activity, does not display it. This is at least the third update since the error was described here.
Is this EVER going to get fixed? Is it ever going to be even acknowledged or are you going to continue to pretend us users don't exist?
This shows why it was such a disaster for fitbit to be bought by Alphabet; you have bigger AI to fake, I guess, and not enough time for your long-time users. I do hope you know that when my One gives out, I am very unlikely to re-up with a fitbit device. For the past month you've demonstrated nothing but utter contempt for us.

I have a perfectly functioning iPad that I prefer to use rather than the phone, but as it's quite old I'm unable to upgrade the app (which I would not want to do anyway). So you're telling me that now also in the absence of the web dashboard, I will have no other choice and that I will be unable to use my perfectly functioning, in as-new condition iPad? Surely it can't be *that* costly or inconvenient to send what these days are miniscule amounts of data to those of us who wish to use older devices! I can only conclude that Fitbit is taking a commission from Apple in trying to force people into unnecessarily handing over their hard-earned cash. I shall henceforth NOT be purchasing ANY Fitbit product ever again, and I shall also advise others not to do so. Disgusted.

I have updated my Fitbit app to the 4.25.1 version. I keep getting messages about moving my Fitbit data to my Google account. Am I required to do that? Will my Fitbit app still work for syncing & saving my Fitbit data after September 30th? Or must I move my Fitbit data to my Google account by September 30th?

Hello Andrea,
The "share" button for workout records in the Fitbit app isn't working at all. After selecting an exercise record from the activity list, no matter how many times I press the share icon, it doesn't move to the next screen.
I'm using an iPhone with the Fitbit app updated to version 4.26.1. The latest update didn't resolve the issue. I've noticed other users have been experiencing the same problem for at least a week. Are the developers aware of this? This needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

I’m now updated to 4.26 and yet there is absolutely zero correction to any of the errors that have been occurring for nearly a month. In fact; I now no longer even display steps (or anything at all) on the today page-so that’s something more that is broken.
Are you alive, Andrea? Why not a single response throughout this entire thread? Any update on when any one of these issues may be corrected? It’s been almost a month. Check that again…an entire month. For the biggest tech company on the planet to be unable to fix this. Really? For a month?
This is beyond absurd.
