In order to ensure an optimal experience, please take a moment to update your Fitbit app to the latest version by September 30th for those using Fitbit app versions 3.00 to 3.90 and 4.00 to 4.21. If you wait beyond that date to update, the Fitbit App could experience performance issues.
Visit the Apple App Store to update the Fitbit app.
To determine your app version:
For Fitbit App 3.00 - 3.90
Google Account: Today > Account Menu (Top Right Icon) > Help > Version
Fitbit Account: Today > Account Menu (Top Left Icon) > Help & Support > Version
For Fitbit App 4.00 - 4.22 (and higher)
Google Account: Today > Google Account Menu (Top Right Icon) > Help > App Version
Fitbit Account: Today > Settings (Top Right Gear) > Help > App Version

Another update (now version 4.27 on iOS), another failure to correct the bug of missing data since August 27.
Figures that Google would buy Fitbit and then put the dregs of their programming and customer contact staff on it.
Now that the deadline on the post in this thread has been met, and you have failed to even acknowledge the issue in any way... what's next? A new thread telling people to update and ignoring any of the problems that are reported?

When you say "the Fitbit App could experience performance issues" what performance issues would this be, and what things could make the "could" in the statement happen. I am currently on 3.90 and have stopped installing any Fitbit app updates, as the newer versions of the app do not work for what I want to use it for. I have Fitbit Inspire 2 and an iPhone SE running 3.90 and set my iPhone down on my treadmill and can see my steps, miles, calories, zone minutes, pulse, plus have room for one more stat. With the newer versions of the app I can only fit steps, miles, calories and zone minutes on the screen without letting go of the hand supports and picking up my phone while running to scroll to what my pulse is. This is not just a preference or a convenience issue, letting go of the hand supports to monitor my heart rate is a safety issue. I would hope that Fitbit would not want to be responsible for someone getting injured because they were forced to update the Fitbit app to continue using it. Why Fitbit thought that grouping stats in sections with heading that take up space on a limited screen size I will never understand. When I compare all of the visible differences between 3.90 and the newer versions, there is not a single change that I would want to have. The old app is so much better in every way. Unfortunately my wife updated here Fitbit app before she knew how bad the new version was.

What specifically does the 4.27 update contribute to the so called performance improvements? Does it address issues of not having seconds in the duration of exercises? Does it put back the lap duration (times)? Does it stop metering past exercise in months and days? Does it recapture the lost exercise days?
I've been waiting patiently and only finding more features corrupting recalled data after the so called update is installed. IS THIS THE FIX? This is the 25th update and the 6th in the last month. Do we get an extension on the September 30, 2024 deadline?

Google has turned a well loved product into a huge disappointment and sore in no time.
Since August update, I had intermittent exercise tracking from my fitbit charge 2 to the app. Then in September, the exercise sync is completely stopped. No exercises started from my watch are captured by the app. The app now is 100% broken.
Google and Fitbit team, you have a SHOW STOPPER on hand.
Instead of keeping rolling out meaningless update, why not fix the show stopper first, before more and more Fitbit users call it quit, and the brand is damaged beyond repair ?

It seems that the app doesn't have access to the dashboard data although the data is still collected and stored. And I do absolutely not understand why Google didn't fix this for way more than a month now. This does definitely not strengthen my trust in Google products.
