Before I updated, I successfully received notifications and all day sync worked from my iphone with iOS 12.
I successfully updated my Fitbit yesterday to 34.20001.63.12 and now notifications and all day sync do not work. When I click on notifications it says that the device is not paired with my phone so I click to pair it. Bluetooth is on and the watch and phone are right next to each other. I receive the message "Bluetooth Pairing Failed - call notifications and all-day sync are disabled for now"
I have restarted the phone as well as hard rebooted the Fitbit. I deleted and re-added the Fitbit the app and ensured the app was up to date.
My Fitbit does manually sync with the phone.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry, I am having troubles updating the post.
I wanted to add that I have also checked the settings on my iphone and notifications are allowed for the Fitbit app
