Updated to iOS 10 - track exercise is no longer available

I have been using track exercise on longer walks to map my route. Yesterday I updated to iOS 10. Now I have the track exercise option on the dashboard but when I click on that and then the blue + at bottom I get options for water , weight, food, barcode and friend but no option to start the track exercise. Was using gps to ensure accuracy and keep record of routes 😞

No worries Maz, still there, just not in the + shortcut.

Click on the exercise tile (running blue man) on your iPhone dashboard

Now touch the stop watch in the upper right corner, select run, walk or hike with the >.

You are on your way!

I noticed exactly the same problem, the track exercise option is gone, no way of adding exercises yourself on the iPhone anymore, I used it when driving a motorcycle or swimming...  I want it back!!!

iOS "thang", not a fitbit thing at this point dab, use the exercise tile and stopwatch for the time being, it'll sort out over the next week or so I'm sure.

Thanks for posting!

Hello @jennajon, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board.

We have update the app in order to access to basic features more easily and you should be able to launch the Track Exercise feature by tapping on the plus sign on top of the menu, then on Track Exercise on the shortcut menu.

The plus sign if floating on top of the menu, so it's not needed to scroll all the way down to see it.

I hope this can be helpful, in case you need anything else, please feel free to reply! Smiley Wink

Hi,

since the iOS 10 update, I can't find the exercise I just tracked. I used to be able to see the mapped route I took along with how long it took me to run each km, and other information.

can you please direct me where to find it. Thanks 🙂

Hello @Seleena, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board! Smiley Happy

In order to check your exercises, please tap on the Exercise tile on the Dashboard. If the exercises are not showing, it's possible the information is not updating correctly on the app, which is why I would like to suggest the following:

  • Force-close the app by double tapping the home button and swiping up the app. If this doesn't seem to work, please:
  • Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink
