Versa 2 issue when changing phones

I recently changed my phone from an Android to an Iphone. I no longer have the option to reply to messages via voice or emojis on my watch.  I spent days on this and find that it is not an option on Iphones. So basically I have a brand new Iphone but can do less with my Versa now, is that correct? AND in my attempts to figure this out, I updated the Versa and now no longer have "all day sync" and yes my phone is set up to allow background app refresh. Now I see "all day sync" is no longer but your phone will just automatically sync once in a while...well guess what?  My phone only syncs now when I open the app. I am really frustrated. I love the watch but honestly I have only been able to download music to it twice in 1 year and now with these issues...... I hate to throw in the towel but looks like I just might have to switch to an Apple Watch.

Just curious, why do you care about it updating when the app is not open.  You couldn't see the results of an update then, could you?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
