Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Protesting.
I am glad to assist you with your concern regarding your Fitbit Versa 2 tracking your steps accurately. Thank you for providing the additional details. Factors such as device placement, dominant or non-dominant hand, and stride length affect the number of steps recorded. If you feel that your step count is inaccurate, confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:
Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values. For more information, see Can I change my stride length in my Fitbit account?
For more tips about improving accuracy, see What are some tips to make sure my Fitbit daily activity is accurate?
Let me know how it goes. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
