I just recently updated my iphone to the new update. Fitbit said something in the app about troubleshooting and messages, but after restarting the fitbit, restarting my phone, reconnecting with bluetooth and syncing the device, i’m still unable to get message notifications on my fitbit watch. Please help! Thanks

Hello again @PaigeWallert

Im super happy I was able to help you get your notifications up and running again. Yes, the preview issue is a known issue and Fitbit is aware of it and I’m sure will address the problem in an up and coming update. I’m happy I was able to give the answer you were seeking. 😃

Hello @PaigeWallert

I can try and help. I have seen this help some people but for others it didn’t seem to help. If you would like to try here are the steps:

First open your Fitbit app

Tap your profile picture in upper left

scroll down to the name of your Fitbit and tap it (It’s located just under “My Family”

scroll down and tap notifications

enable the notifications you want in green

now simply tap “today” at the bottom of your screen to get back to the main page

Now lets make sure your iOS device is set up correctly:

go to:

device iOS settings>location services >Fitbit>Always on

also Go to:

iOS setting>Fitbit>Location>Always on

also go to:

iOS settings >notifications >messages>Select always under show previews

Now Go to your Bluetooth:

  1. Tap the "i" icon next to the name of your Fitbit device
  2. Turn on the Share System Notifications.

😃 please get back to me to let me know if this solves your notifications issue.

So I got it to work with your suggestions. I tried everything you said and it eventually worked. I noticed that it was the Text Preview setting that was the culprit. I like to have that set off so i can hide my messages, so when i started seeing my messages again i went to turn that off and then i stopped getting notifications on my watch again. Thanks for all of your help!
