I am curious if someone has figured this out. I have GPS on my versa under RUN app settings. However, when I go for run or hike and turn on run app it stays connecting... and will not connect to iPhone until I log in to iPhone, open the fitbit app and start the sync. I ask why? this is cumbersome and not efficient.
Just like other Bluetooth devices. it should automatically connect with the phone, avoiding additional steps.
Any tips or hints, please?
thanks

Hello @mxarun.
Thanks for bringing this up and sharing those details on the matter.
In this case it might be happening because the Fitbit connects to the phone's GPS through the Fitbit app and thus, if the app is closed and not running in the background, the Fitbit will not be able to connect. This would explain why you have to open the app and log in.
Feel free to reach out with any further questions.

Appreciate the response. But the purpose of the comment was to avoid that step. Why can't Versa automatically sense and connect such as Bluetooth headsets?
Thanks
