Versa won't connect to my iPhone 11

Hello

 

ive been off fitbit for 2 years now and decided to reset my watch and connect it to my new iPhone 11. 

it’s been six god **ahem** hours and I’ve tried everything mentioned here. 
Even tried setting up the watch with the new account. 
But it just won’t find it! 
Is there a solution other than just throwing this versa away? 
honestly it’s ruining my day
