Voice cues for iPhone

I've tried everything but the voice cues don't work. All updates were successfully installed. I also use "Map my Walk" could this be the problem? But when not using that app, voice cues still don't work!

It's nice to see you around more often @penngwenRobot HappyI'd appreciate you double check your exercise settings to make sure your voice cues is configured as it should. Do the following:

1. Opening the Fitbit App and clicking the Account button in the bottom-right hand corner.

2. Click "Exercise Tracking" under settings.

3. Make sure that "Play During Exercise" is toggled on and that the voice cues are configured to your preferred settings.

Let me know how it goes! Woman Happy

Ok so I had voice cues turned on for a 13 mile run yesterday. During the run the only thing that happened is my podcasts volume was lowered but no readout of pace.
Get home and the exercise doesn't sync.... (Hooray)
Fast forward to this morning I received a notification in one of my Fitbit challenge groups while watching a video and every pace readout that should have occurred during my run occurred in sequence. That's new, I love hearing my pace readings 12+ hours after my run. Really helps

I seem to have the same issue. Voice cues for my wall yesterday didn't come through. Instead at 1km my podcast audio playback was faded down as if a voice cue was coming, but it never came. My podcast audio only corrected when I got a notification beep from another app, which must have acted as a circuit breaker. That was yesterday. This morning I opened the Fitbit app with my headphones plugged in and right away every voice cue which should have played yesterday was read out in series. Bizarre. I'm writing this in the middle of another tracked walk where the same thing appears to have happened- I've passed one km, my podcast audio ha dipped, no voice cues.

Is this perhaps related to the other issue which seems to have come in with the latest version? That being that podcast or music audio is muted when simply opening the Fitbit app? Another annoyance. This update appeared to fix my exercise sync issues but introduced these hiccups, and remains a very user hostile app.

I'm running the Fitbit application on an iPhone. Voice cues suddenly stopped working. Normally when I press the volume keys the ringer volume changes. I selected preview voice cues and then hit the volume button to increase the volume. Instead of ringer volume now I was adjusting the speaker volume. Problem solved.

Hi - I'm relatively new to Fitbit but I have exactly the same issue. No voice cues - - and yes, all properly installed and switched on. I also use mapmyrun and their voice cues work just fine. But if I disactivate them and want to use the voice cues from Fitbit nothing happens. Tried during several runs. Please advise where you stand on that.

Hi everyone and welcome aboard to our Community @dmanparis. If voice cues are failing I recommend to force quit the app doing the following:

1. Opening the Fitbit App and clicking the Account button in the bottom-right hand corner.

2. Click "Exercise Tracking" under settings.

3. Make sure that "Play During Exercise" is toggled on and that the voice cues are configured to your preferred settings.

It might be helpful also to take a look at this other post from @SunsetRunner for additional help.

Keep me posted how it goes, I'll be around.

Thanks for very generic and useless feedback. What is this?

Hi @dmanparis,

To follow up, there are voice cues on the Fitbit App but the voice cues are for when you use the Fitbit App to capture GPS (aka MobileRun).

There currently is not voice cues for Surge GPS workouts nor Charge 2 & Blaze Connected GPS workouts; but Blaze and Surge both have run cues that will give you time or distance splits on the tracker itself during your run. Click here for more information.

Hope this helps!
