Hi all. Santa gave me a Charge 2 this Xmas and getting along with it pretty good thks. However, I cannot seem to get the Voice Curs to work. I have latest iOS 10.2 on iPhone 5 and v2.31 on FitBit. Have checked Volume with headphones plugged in. Sample voice cue is Loud & Clear, but nothing whilst running. Any other ideas out there please ?  Thks. PS. Happy New Year to all ...

Hello @Priyp, thanks for joining us in the Community!, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for letting me know you have already tried some troubleshooting steps, in this particular case I would like to suggest:

  1. Open the app tap on Account > Exercise Tracking and on the Voice Cues screen disable Play During Exercise.
  2. Forceclose the app by double-tapping the home button and swiping up the app.
  3. Open the app again and enable Play During Exercise.

If that doesn't seem to do the trick, please try logging out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted! Smiley Wink

Ciao Marco. Thks for swift reply. Have tried both of yr suggestions but sadly neither has worked 😞   Silly question, but do I just start my activity (run) on my Charge 2 and away I go ? I have the FitBit app open and am logged in. There is nothing to do on the App as well, is there ? Thks again. Rgds. Paul

Thank you !! I had a sneaky suspicion something was not right ... voice cues working now. Just need FitBit to include 'Heart Rate' as a voice cue option, really !! Having recently recovered from a mild heart attack, I am v.interested in my heart rate (and heart rate zone), which RUNTASTIC does so well. I think I shall be reverting back to my chest band since Charge 2 does not talk to RUNTASTIC Smiley Sad Appreciate your input. Cheers now

I don't think this is the answer people are looking for.

I recently bought a Fitbit Inspire HR and when I start my exercises from the band itself, the voice cues are not working. If I start the exercise from the app, the voice cues do work, but then I cannot check the band to see how my exercise is going. This is very annoying and I bet is not that difficult to solve with the resources Fitbit has.

These problems are all over the forums (and date back to 2017 as far as I can see). Telling people to use the app to start their exercises (or suggesting them to log out of the app and sign back in for proper syncing) is not the solution to the problem. If I wanted a half-a**ed hardware-software sync, I would rather buy a band that is half the price.

agreed.  There are some very fundamental "features" that these are missing out right.  Whats the point of even having the cues if you can't use the watch with them?  Starting the exercise from the watch should start the app as well.

Was this ever resolved. I am having the same issue.

what is the point of starting an exercise through the phone app to get the voice cues, if I can’t then check my watch while running to see my distance at a glance. Why don’t they link up.

Did you get the voice cues to work? If yes how?

I have the charge 4 and just bought I phone 12 and it stopped  working?  No voice cues when running or preview?  Thanks

Do you still need to carry the phone on the run then?

What's the point of having music loaded to the watch if it doesn't work standalone?
