I've looked around message boards quite a bit this morning and remain stumped. On my FitBit app there is a weekly summary of my activity and statistics. Among those statistics is one that shows weight gained or lost. It shows that for each of the last two weeks I gained .1 pounds. I have not been tracking my weight, nor have I been tracking food, nor do I use any other weight or food trackers, nor do I ever weigh myself, so this figure is not coming from any other places. I see that it estimates I have been burning 1997 calories er day. Is it operating on the assumption that I eat a certain number of calories per day? What metrics does it use to estimate weight gained or lost?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Mightypog.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that the Fitbit app is showing that you gained .1 pounds for each of the last two weeks. I understand your concern since you're not tracking your weight nor food, I am here to help. Thanks for the details shared, I would like to confirm that the Fitbit app records your weight if you weigh-in with a Fitbit scale, or manually log weight. For more information, see How do I track my weight in the Fitbit app? For information how your Fitbit device calculate your daily activity, see How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
I recommend trying the following:
If the issue persists, please let me know if you see the same weight gain on fitbit.com dashboard or in your weekly report email? I will be glad to investigate further.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
