Weight logged doesn't record in the app.

It appears that the tracking part of the app is not working.  I enter my weight every morning but there are only 3 entries showing for April.  Kinda frustrating Smiley Sad

Hello @ahupp, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. At this moment I would like to ask you to update the app if you haven't done it yet, then try to log in a new weight log by tapping on the weight tile and then on "Log Weight". Make sure the log appears underneath after you logged it. Monitor the app for the next few days and in case the logs disappear again, please let me know so I can check this further.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I’m having a similar issue.

My weight hasn’t updated since April 4th.

Current Aria weight is showing in weght history but not on the dashboard.

All devices are up to date.

Thanks for the reply!  When I log my weight the way you describe, it works.  But, I prefer the quicker way and it still is not working:

hard press fitbit icon

choose "log weight"

input weight

"save"  and then I get the following message, " Replace previous log?  A weight log already exists for this day.  Saving will replace this log"

Even though I choose to save it, nothing updates.  I'm using an iPhone 6S Plus and the app is up to date.  It always used to update this way.  The last time it worked was April 4th, maybe this coincides with an update?

Hello @ahupp, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. It's great to have you on board @DdLov, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

@DdLov, I appreciate your participation in the forums. At this moment I would like to ask you to check if your weight history is showing correctly in the weight section of the online Dashboard. If it is, it's possible the app is not updating the information correctly with the one in our servers, in which case I would like to suggest you the following:

  • Force-quit the Fitbit app by double tapping the home button on your phone, then swipe up the app.
  • Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

@ahupp, thanks for reporting this, I'll make sure to forward your information to our team so they can take a better look at this situation and determine if a bug is affecting this method. In the meantime, please log your weight with the instructions I've provided above.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I am having the same problem.

I log my weight every morning , I only log my weight one time per day.

Sometimes , but not every time I get the message Replace Previous Log? Cancel or Save

Of course I choose save , in this instance my log is not saved.

I have to then re-save it.

It really is annoying and makes Fitbit useless to me.

Hello @TheHamburger, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have reported this issue as well. Tell me, how are you logging your weight? Do you log by tapping on the plus (+) sign in the Dashboard or do you tap on the weight tile and then on "Log Weight"? At this moment I would like to gather some more information from you so I can check this further:

  • iPhone/iPad you're using
  • OS version running on your mobile device
  • App version currently installed (go to Account > Help) to get it.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.

I appreciate you have replied with the information and the screenshot requested. At this moment I will forward the information to our team so they can take a better look at this situation that it seems is only affecting the 3D touch functions of the app. In the meantime, please open the Fitbit app and log your weight through the Weight tile inside the Fitbit app.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else I can do for you or if there's anything else you might want to add, please feel free to reply.

Selecting Log Weight from the 3D Touch quick action list results in a couple bugs and does not save the entered data.

Environment:

iPhone 6s

iOS 11.3

Fitbit 2.50

steps:

1. At the home screen, 3D Touch the Fitbit icon to open the quick action menu

2. Select Log Weight

3. Enter a weight and select Save

4. An alert is displayed asking if I would like to replace the previous log (this displays even when there are no previous entries)

5. Select Save on the alert

6. The Log Weight view dismisses

7. Navigate to the Weight section

8. Observe the Weight was not saved

Expected:

The weight entry should be saved. The alert should not be displayed at step 4 if there are no other entries for the current day.

I’m quite disheartened that this is still an issue when it was reported so clearly so long ago.

I’ve also been having this issue for about 2 months, and I continue to have it. Attempting to enter my weight with 3D Touch gives me the same message as above, and even if I press “save”, it usually doesn’t actually save it. It will only save it when I log it from the tile on the dashboard. But even then, I get the message saying there’s already a log there (when there clearly isn’t). I know it seems like a small deal, but I would say it isn’t. After logging, I always have to check to see if actually went through, because sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t. This takes a lot longer than just tapping, entering, and knowing it’s taken care of.

Any news on this being fixed?

Thank you.
