I have an iPhone 6 & just bought a Fitbit Charge 2. If this only requires iOS 8 & up why do I need iOS 9 to sync w/ the app. Is there another Fitbit app older version I can use? Or is this just the way it is?

@LisaLuLu001 while i really don't know a thing about ios, ive moved your iOS question to the iOS board. My thinking is that there will be a better chance of getting an answer here.

Hello @LisaLuLu001, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board the Community! It's nice to see you around too @Rich_Laue, thanks for keeping the Community well organized, I appreciate that.
@LisaLuLu001, Even though the Fitbit app is compatible with older iOS versions (the oldest being iOS 9), if you're using an iPhone, we strongly recommend using the latest one, currently 10.3.1, this is to prevent any issue or bug that might affect the functionality of the app.
I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted.
