Why does it always show "no recent activity"

So I have used my app forever and now with 3 different devices one, flex, and now charge HR. It shows I'm using it and tracking steps and working great but when you click on my profile it shows no recent activity and also when viewed in friends list same thing. Wish I could add my screen shots so you know what I am talking about. Anyway it's frustrating! My friends and I like to see where we all are and do challenges. Because the app doesn't show I have any activity they have to search for me to add me to challenges. It's just annoying 😠😤

@Ilovebnamom I'd recommend making sure that your "Friend Rankings" setting isn't set to Hide Me on Fitbit.com. To do so:

1. Log onto Fitbit.com

2. Click the gear icon in the to right-hand corner

3. Click settings on the pulldown menu

4. Click the personal info tab on the left

5. Scroll to the bottom of the Page until you See Friend Rankings

6. Select "Show Me" and then click save at the bottom of the page

Keep me posted if this helps and welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Thank you it worked!!!

@DerrickS  Thanks.  I had the same problem with "no recent activity" even though I had plenty, and your solution worked for me, as well!

Hi there,

I've ticked this myself and its not working (in fact, it's been that way from the beginning).

Any other ideas?

Which is the gear icon?

@LanaDP The friend leaderboard displays steps for the past 7 days, including today. If you are still seeing no recent activity, it's also possible that users haven't synced their trackers in the past 7 days.

@coco04 You can find it in the top right-hand corner of your Fitbit.com dashboard. See the screenshot below for more details:

Hi Derrick - I had the same problem ("No recent activity") and doing what you suggested here didn't work for me ... any other suggestions?

Best Answer

Thanks for trying the suggestions, please double check that your setting isn't show as "Hide Me" as my friend @DerrickS suggested here.

If you are still having the issue with the "No recent activity" please provide us with a screen shot showing this message. Are you syncing frequently?

There is probably a very obvious answer to this but what if I can't find the "Show Friends" under my Personal Information in settings?

Best Answer

Are you using the computer for this process? If so, please send us a screen shot showing what you're getting instead @newbie20.

No Recent ActivityThis is the last thing that shows up on my Personal Profile under Settings. The categories go: Profile, Units, Body info, Preference, and then Time. I can't find anything about making my steps public for my friends. It always says "No Recent Activity"

And yes I've been using the computer for this process but I have also tried doing it on the app.

I'm having the same problem that Newbee had.  I do not see a friends tab or a showme option in my profile.  I only have the iphone app that I use, no other device.

Best Answer

Did this problem get resolved for you?  One of my friends is showing "No Activity" when I look on mine and we can't find the setting to correct this.

I cannot find a "Friend Rankings" anywhere in settings.  Can you help me find this as I am experiencing the same with a friend and trying to help her fix it.

Best Answer

I am also unable to find the Friends Ranking setting. My friends currently see "No Recent Activity" for me, and I do not appear in their rankings lists.

I've also posted on this other thread, which appears to be the same or a similar issue: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Surge/No-recent-activity-on-my-friend-dashboard/td-p/920234

I've been having the same issue for months on my iPhone app.  It always says No Recent Activity on the Friends tab and I also could not find the Friends Rankings setting on the web site.  To fix, all I did was log out of the iPhone app and log back in.  Hope this helps.
